BeastlyBeast
Hey, guys. I came up with this idea last night, while I was messing around with the Creation Kit. I was thinking about making a small group of Werewolf Hunters, with their own questline, backstory, and everything. I made the house they live in, which is a bit shaky, as in the camera jerks around a bit when I walk in a specific room, but whatever. I made the Hunters, too. It's just a family, though. I may add more later. But, IDK, because the family kinda already has a system. The father is like the werewolf executioner. He has a headsman's axe, and the room where the camera's glitchy is actually like the werewolf's torture chamber, or whatever you wanna call it. The wife is kinda like the house's guard. She has light armor and an Imperial sword, and she is probably the one who may come help me with a few quests, but I don't want her doing anything too major. Then I have the son. He's probably like the most important. He has steel plate armor, and an Orcish Warhammer on his back. I want him to kinda be the MOST major character in the storyline/questline. He'd come and help me with most of the quests, and certainly all of the werewolf-killing ones. So, that's my most basic thing. Right now, all I need to do is add some Navmesh, and I'm essentially done with the house, and the BASICS of the NPC's. Now, to the part that I don't know about. LOL. Since these guys are werewolf hunters, they obviously need to hate all werewolves. How do I make them do that? Is there a faction for that, or do I need to make one? Also, same goes for Companions. They are associated with werewolves, so I can't have the werewolf hunters, and the companions, walking by each other having friendly conversations. :P I might even have a few quests in the storyline where they want me to help them attack the Companions. And, then the house I have them in is a two story house, very similar to the one in the video (see bottom of post) My question is, what defaultsanbox package should I use for it? Again, it's a TWO story house. I have all three NPC's on the 5x12 sanbox ai package. Is that enough? Also, there is a bed on the top floor, and 2 beds on the bottom floor. What AI package would make them go to sleep in any of those beds? Once, I put some NavMesh on, make these guys hate werewolves and companions, and make them move around correctly in their house, I should be ready to put the house in Tamriel, and start working on the quests. :) Here is the video, of what my house basically looks like, except the bottom floor doesn't have 2 rooms. Just one. Look at 9:20 for best view of what it looks like. Edited March 26, 2012 by BeastlyBeast
BeastlyBeast
Well, even though nobody replied (lol), here is my update on this idea of mine. Right now, I'm navmeshing. Major PITB. . .but, all I need to navmesh-ify now is the stairs, which are almost done. At first the characters couldn't go down the steps at all. Now, if I get close enough to them, they follow me to about 1/4 of the way down. :) Once the NavMeshing is done, I can put the house in Tamriel, and get started on the only thing more annoying than navmesh; SCRIPTING QUESTS!!! However, I still don't know how to make them hate the companions. I'm guessing that it's a 'Relationship' thing I need to edit, but do I need to create a hate relationship for each member of the companions per Werewolf Hunter??? PLZ Help. BeastlyBeast
Well, I'm done with the house. Now, I wanna script the quests. I have no idea how to do that. . . lol. If anyone can help me write the scripts I'd need, that'd be great. Really, all I want this first quest to be is: Talk to an npc, go kill a werewolf in a specific place, go back to the npc and talk to him, and then upon ending the quest, I want the next one to instantly start. I really don't know what to do, so an help at all would be very appreciated. TY. Edited March 29, 2012 by BeastlyBeast
BeastlyBeast
I made the first quest, and it works like a charm. I'm just now working on the second one. But, one question: Does anyone know how to set it so that a specific quest doesn't ever activate until after the previous quest is completed? I don't want the first quest's end to instantly start up the next one, but I want the second quest to not be usable until I've completed the first. If it helps, my first quests id is WHQ01, and my second one is WHQ02. I added that in case it's a script that does it. :) TY
