Hello, this may be very noobish question but anyway, how can I make two differently modded version for F4 and play them separately(and safety).I tried using nmm profiles but it messed my mods. Not much but still.

I know I can do two game folder but I just want to be sure that I'm not messing anything anymore.

as long as you don't intend on using different versions of FO4 , you can use MO2 and use the profile system of it

make sure to make the profiles before you start installing the different mods , and install whatever mods for each profile

this should do the trick for you

Thanks for the reply.I'm not familiar with MO2 but what I have understand its better for different profiles. For now I have modded game in my pc and that's what I usually want to play.Mods was installed with nmm.So if I make another version with MO2 it should be good?

I haven't used NMM in the past year at the very least , probably more

the thing about MO (1 & 2) is that tool allows you to install mods to whatever folder you want , so you don't install mods directly into your game's folder

last time I used NMM , it installed mod to your game's folder , so starting from this won't work as you are installing mods over a modded game

the best thing if you really want to have two profiles is to start from a fresh install of the game , then start everything from scratch

If you use the existing modded game as a base , you may have problems with some mods (mostly resources that are in your game's folders , like meshes , textures and such)

can't promise you'll have problems , but can't promise everything will work fine

feel free to try it and see , though you may not notice problems so early , so it may seem fine at first but end up problematic down the line

Thanks again!I made backup files for that modded game and all ini-files.Now I'm just installing some mods with MO2 and for now everything looks good.If something goes wrong there is backups. :)
