ringgold99
I don't know if this is the right forum or not (I hope so....I debated on which one but if this is not the right one, could an admin or moderator please move this post to the correct forum), but I wanted to ask if there are any house/castle mods out there that are not a victim of the 1.5 patch CTD navmesh problem. I am currently running a game started after the 1.5 patch was installed (much to my dismay), but I am a bit trigger-shy about installing any house mods at the moment, although I desperately need one. The only ones I have tried (successfully) are ones that have no navmesh/have not been navmeshed. Any suggestions would be helpful.
AmethystDeceiver
although not specifically a "house mod" my mod does have a functional non-CTD player home in it (it also has a functional navmesh so you should be able to bring followers without them getting lost)http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=5696 any mods that use an esm with no vanilla edits currently are avoiding the CTD bug from patch 1.5. there are caveats however, your save game MUST be clean from all corruption that may have been caused by the 1.5 bugs. thuis goes for any new house mod currently using the esm workaround
ringgold99
Well, doing as you say. I do have a nice place to live. The only complaint I have is that áll the mannequins are male (I have a female mannequin mod loaded after your mod but the effect seems to be nullified). Anyway, I have SPODUM....so no problem. Thanks!!!!!
Sunnie
Might help to open up the house mod thats crashing on you in the toolset, then resave it. Might fix the problem created by the older version of the toolset.
AmethystDeceiver
@ringgold - yeah sorry about that. i do have female mannequin option planned as a fairly high priority update in the near future.
Jadak
You can always make mannequins into females by opening the console, clicking on them to select them, and using the command 'sexchange'. It's what I do in my houses to match all mannequins to whichever gender my current character is.
