Mods Not Recognzed

When I download a mod with the Mod Manager and activate it successfuly under the "Mods" tab it does not get listed under the "plugins" tab. When I open the "Data Files" of the Skyrim startup screen only the items listed under the "Plugins" tab are listed. The mods that I activated successfully are not listed/recognized. That occurs for nearly all of the mods I try.. but not all.. some few succeed. ??

I think they only show up if they drop an .esp file in your Data folder. Texture mods that drop texture files deep inside folders inside the Data folder typically don't show as plugins.
