halasullivan
To put things simply, I am trying to make a customer follower of mine seem trapped, and in a room that has several hostiles in the room itself. However, every time I enter the room, my supposedly captive taken companion, stands up and starts attacking all of the hostiles in the room. Can anyone give me a run down on how to make the companion sit still, and ignore the hostiles until she is free?
JonathanOstrus
Without getting into a huge amount of detail there's 2 options I can think of off the top of my head. 1) give your follower npc and the hostile npcs another faction that makes them friendly to each other, leaving a faction on the hostiles to make them hostile to you and the follower friendly to you. Then they won't fight (yet). Then at some point use script to remove the friendly making faction from the follower so they become hostile towards the others (if desired). 2) Use a package (sit probabaly) with flags to ignore combat and such. Use a quest alias to assign the package to the follower. Then at some point whenever you're "freeing" the follower remove them from the alias so the package stops taking effect. If you need more help than that, respond with which method you're interested in and maybe someone a bit more familiar with that method can give more details.
