lordbevan1
ok, thanks! I'll try that.
EPDGaffney
You can't use later Blender (or I couldn't find a way at least) and that is your problem. This one comes all set up for you:https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/42755 This one is more complete but you need to do a bunch of things yourself:https://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/12248 Both are good. lordbevan1
It worked! Now, if I were to publish it, would I need to include the extracted textures in the .zip file?
EPDGaffney
Extracted? Not 100% sure I understand your question but if you're asking what I think you are: So, if you're saying that you're essentially using vanilla textures for a custom weapon, you have a few things to think about and a few ways to approach it. First, there are popular mods that use textures intended for different UV maps, and depending on someone's load order, your mod may or may not conflict with that. So, if your weapon is a replacer and it uses vanilla textures, you can require that no mod like that be installed, or you can include the vanilla texture you want and explain that it will overwrite the other texture on installation. The benefit of doing it that way is that it requires no .esp. But if your weapon is already using an .esp to be added to someone's game, then you can include a copy of the vanilla texture in a different location. The downside to this is that mods that improve the texture will never get incorporated into your mod, but the upside is that you know exactly how it will look in someone else's game and that no textures intended for alternate UV maps will ever get mapped onto your custom weapon and ruin it.
