Triforce1
I am having an issue involving Interiors that should be exteriors from the interior. Does that make any sense? Here's an example: the Temple of the One is treated as an exterior cell, and has sky and weather through the hole in its dome. I am perfectly well aware of how to achieve this; the interior isn't the problem. It is the exterior that is giving me fits. I have made a circle from the Arcane University walls. From the outside, it currently looks just like the outside of the AU, just scaled down .8000 times. However, then the unique situation presents itself. The building is floating, but the interior needs to have dirt. The immediate idea is to make the door lead to an interior in its own cell which is actually resting on the ground so it appears that there is a landscape inside this floating building. Great, except the whole purpose of this mod requires that I can see inside this cell from the outside. I need to be able to fly over it and be convinced that there is actually a mini-forest in there. However, since it is its own cell, I cannot do this. The top of the Temple of the One just has a circular black disk on it so that it appears that ther is an inside, it is just shadowed so you can't see in. But since the area I am trying to cover is much bigger, and trees need to be visible over the top, I cannot do only this. Can anyone suggest anything? My only thoughts at present are this: Take a black disk and put it on the floor of this place. Then, cover most of it in rocks, then plant more trees than there will actually be, so it is tough to see in. Then, put the buildings where they go; they take up a lot of room. Then, just inside the lip of the walls, I'll put up a force field so that you cannot fly in. The problem with that is, how? I can do everything except the force field. I've seen it in other mods, though. Can someone at least tell me how to do this? If not, can they provide a better solution? EDIT: I just though of another pressing problem. How can I make the walls visible from both sides? The exterior walls are invisible shells when looked at from the inside. I already tried placing the interior walls, and even the LOD walls, inside the exterior ones to make it look like a single wall. They aren't the same size-to-curve ratio and so don't fit, leaving me up a creek. Can someone help me figure this out too?
Vagrant0
Not quite I understand what you're trying to accomplish. If you're using an exterior cell, you can raise the landscape, or lower the static so that it isn't floating. The easiest solution, as far as the walls go, is to make your own. You've already done weapons, statics are the next logical step.
Triforce1
Well, I figured it out anyway, thanks. I did use the rocks and trees to block the view of the ground, which worked great. Also, I am using alot of those Ayleid Stones (the perfect, unblemished square ones) retextured to my use. I have used them for everything from covering door holes and mounting new ones to simply providing a floating base for the city. So, I retextured one to look like the same stone as the walls and I am simply filling in the gaps. It certainly is taking awhile, but the result is good. Also, I couldn't model the old walls to have a non-invisible inside so I just gave up that idea. Thanks anyway.
