Greslin
So here's what seems like a pretty obscure question. When the PC moves over different static ground surfaces, a different sound effect is played. Pavement, utility stairs, open land, they all produce specific and different sound effects comparable to those surfaces. When I start looking through the GECK listings for those static objects, I see nothing there about sound. But that has to be defined somewhere. So here's what I'm wondering: 1. If I wanted to create my own custom static for use as a ground surface, how would I designate it as pavement for sound purposes? Is it something in NIF? Because I'm sure not finding it in GECK. 2. Is there a workable way within a script to determine the current ground surface type, possibly by detecting the sound effect being played during movement? I'm thinking something akin to how GetWeaponAnimType can be used to detect how the PC is currently armed.
