Chem Counter for the HUD

I tried to create a Chem Counter mod for New Vegas, but I could never get it to work...

 

I know that there's a Stimpak Counter for Fallout 3, and that's what gave me the idea to try making a counter for New Vegas. I've also tried to find a mod like this for New Vegas, but there doesn't seem to be any (odd considering the usefulness of something like this.)

 

If anyone out there is good with creating new HUD elements, what I'm looking for is this:

 

Will show the current amount of Chems that you have by name (i.e. Stimpaks: 14, Buffout: 21, ect.)

Fully compatible with MCM to let you pick which Chem Counters show up on the HUD. In other words, if you use Stims, Buffout, Psycho, and Hydra the most, you could choose to only show those. You could also choose to move the location like aHUD lets you do with vanilla HUD elements.

Could even possibly expand this to include alcohol items and water bottles.

Well, it doesn't help a whole lot, but my Pip-Boy Integrated Medical Package mod has a HUD counter (for FO3). Those scripts and HUD files are based on that same counter mod, so it's all open for anyone to use.

 

My scripts are set up to be simple, and I think they're all commented so you know what's doing what. You (or anyone) would just need to add in the additional bits for the new chems and such. Not really hard work, but not something I care to do, just letting you know that the initial work is done. Secondly, it's also set up to bump the counters together to fill in space not used by whichever ones are disabled, which would be useful for the MCM bit that allows you to remove some.

 

Not horribly helpful, I know, but just thought I'd point out that the beginning of that work is done, just needs expanding on.
