redguard216
I have been using Dynavision lately, but its been causing some problems and the effect isn't fast enough, etc. I really like the DOF that coems with the ENB series because its the famous Bokeh DOF, however Id rather use RLwC then use ENB. I really think someone should make a Bokeh Depth of Field stand-alone mod for anyone who doesn't want ENB, but wants the good DOF.
Deleted3840192User
+1 I used ENB for a while and was extremely satisfied with the SSAO, lighting and Bokeh DOF. However, after going to a friend's house to see his custom Breezehome mod, I immediately noticed how much smoother his game moved than mine. After a long trial and error process, and a quick FRAPS install, I found that the Superb ENB-RL mod I was using was taking my average outdoors FPS from the lower to mid 50s to the mid to upper 20s!!! God forbid I try to walk or, dare I say, run, and my FPS dropped to the mid to upper TEENS. I know FPS is not everything, but there is a point where that number is just too low to be playable. I started using the RLwC yesterday, and I'm very happy with the lighting effects, and it is nice to have some of the other mods (Enhanced Distant Terrain and Realistic Ice and Snow) that I already use built-in. I've also got SSAO turned on through my NVIDIA Control Panel. However, what I'm missing is a solid Bokeh DOF. I also tried Dynavision, and it was OK. It always took too long to focus, and the process never really seemed smooth. And, while the spell and helper idea was quite original, I don't like my graphical mods to affect my game at all. A NMM installer with the options would be more Kosher-feeling. Dynavision never stopped working for me. BTW redguard216, I've found some Bokeh-only ENB mods that didn't cause quite the performance hit of the full thing, but it was significant enough that I couldn't keep it installed. A new one just came out today, I'll be contacting the dev to annoyingly request a Bokeh-only mod. Anyway, best of luck to us both. Any modders out there still taking requests?
