Doomdragon271
I just returned to playing Fallout 4 yesterday, Fresh installation on a new computer.I went through all of the archive invalidation steps.I installed about 10 mods, only one works fully, and it just uses vanilla assets.any mods that use any non-vanilla assets seem to be broken.Specifically Commonwealth Cuts, my characters lack hair entirely when i attempt to use styles from this mod.CBBE is also not working for me, my characters just end up with a vanilla body.Any help or troubleshooting advice would be greatly appreciated. ProudFurryWolf
try to find these on the faalout 4 menu. ive have trouble anytime i loaded fallout 4 mods from nexus, when i do it directly off of the mod tab in-game, worked perfectly. could be coincidence but the odds of that arent really worth considering. just try it out that way, if it doesnt work then im sorry mate, but thats what worked for me. Bernt
Just make sure you get the latest versions of everything. I've got several GB of mods I've downloaded manually. A few of them won't run on my new install, but getting the latest versions solved my problem. The same goes for F4SE - if you use it. Should fit your game version. I recently had to wipe and resinstall my whole system. My game is now loaced at 1.10.4I'm at 271 active mods/174 plugins and stable - well, as stable as FO4 can be expected ;)
Doomdragon271
Thank you both for your help. i still cant seem to get it to work. Just make sure you get the latest versions of everything. More information now that Ive tested a few more things:Armor mods show up with no textures or meshes, but the items show up in-gameWeapons mods are much the same, items show up in-game, but lack meshes, textures and soundsNew hairstyles are select-able through the looksmenu command, but dont have hair meshes or textures, unless it is a mashup of Vanilla (eg: "Lots More Female Hairstyles - Lots More Female Hairstyles v. 1.33") I think the problem is that the game isn't recognizing any .ba2 files or loose files from my mods...Hold the f*** up...Not one of the files i installed actually made it into my data folder....all of the subfolders are there, but they are all empty.... Thank you both, but i think i just found my problem, and i'll look into fixing it myself....
