mocchan123
I don't know if this has been asked here already, but can people post here their ideas for mods that are more DLC-like (like Falskaar)? It's my favorite type of mods and I always enjoying finding some really good ones, so I get inspired with different ideas on writing my own "story" and making a small new world inside Skyrim. I know a lot of work goes into making one and a lot of people are needed too, but I guess posting an idea wouldn't hurt anyone...right? Are modders even interested in making more DLC-like mods? Roadhouse699
The Nine have heard your prayers.Well, I have. The Nine can't hear s#*! from Aetherius - do you have any idea how far away it is from Nirn?...Okay I'll stop being Sheogorath.
mocchan123
The Nine have heard your prayers.Well, I have. The Nine can't hear s*** from Aetherius - do you have any idea how far away it is from Nirn?...Okay I'll stop being Sheogorath. A new hand touches the Mocchan. Listen. Hear me and obey. A foul darkness has seeped into my head. A darkness that you will...well...maybe you will...or not...ah...So, can I take this answer as "yes, I might be interested in hearing the s*** you've been thinking about lately"? <.< Edited January 22, 2018 by mocchan123

jido23
So here is my idea for a mod, when you get the dragonscroll and make it to the throat of the world with it and the window to the past opens up you actually get pulled through and the fight with Alduin resets like ground hog day. You then have to travel through and explore a Merethic Era Skyrim with the Three Dragonborn that bind Alduin in time. This will allow for a more immersive plot with the Three and Allow Your Dragonborn more of a Demi-God type feel while moving through time. I have tons of Ideas for this mod if a mod creator was bored enough and wanted to make a DLC type of mod. If your interested in hearing what my ideas are or if you would just like to say, "Hey good idea, piss off, learn to mod you noob, ect..." go ahead and send me a pm. It's a lot of work, and most modders capable of pulling it off have their own ideas they want to implement. The reality is, the only way you'll ever get a DLC sized made is by taking initiative, starting up creation kit, and start making player homes, weapon retextures, new spells, and other random small mods that will help you learn how to use the program and eventually be able to do what you want to do. And uh, quick side-note, none of those three people fighting Alduin were Dragonborn, they were just trained in the Voice.

I'm very sorry if my post confused you, but the truth is I was just offering it up as an idea not a request. That would be incredibly selfish and delusional to think a mod author capable of that would undergo it just for me lol. I would love to be able to do the things that you all can do, and this is going to sound like an excuse so I apologize in advance, I spend practically 9 out of the 12 months deployed over seas or training away from home to even think about publishing mods. I've been able to alter stats and scripts but building whole cells seems untouchable to me. I digress, I was simply offering it up an idea to start conversation. Oh and thank you for clearing that up about the people. Funny note, I've been playing Skyrim since 11/11/11 and I think I've only ever gotten to the end of the main quest once lol. I always get side-tracked and then start a new character or a mod breaks one of my saves and I start all over. That's one of the great beauties of Skyrim though. Peace p.s. Please feel free to message me directly if you wish to continue this conversation so we don't clog up this topic.
Hannes821
the problem is with such ideas, that you need a team to do this right, and managing and forging an international volunteer team requires a lot of patience, luck and initiative. On top of that, no team comes together for a strangers idea of a DLC sized mod;its really as he said, you have to start it yourself or join an existing team, but joining existing teams means to cope with their plans to 90%. Examples of this include myself (though I'd like to change that at some point), Someguy2000, and I believe Jonx0r, even though he left.
