Game crashing if using Fallout Character Overhaul - firsttimer modder

Please be easy on me if I get confused - I've never modded a PC game before other than Steam workshop on HOI4 and gmod.

I have installed and activated both Fallout Character Overhaul and the Fallout Character Overhaul patch. I do have NVSE and UIO User Interface Organizer.

My main FCO is v3.0 and the patch is v3.1. I know that FCO is outdated but there I don't know how to update it since I can't find a v3.1 file on the FCO Nexus page.

Everytime I try and launch the game it immediately crashes. I know for sure it is this mod because when I disable it the game works. Please help, thanks.

CPU is Ryzen 5 1600, clock speed 3.2GHz.

GPU is a GTX 1050ti, MSI GamingX brand, with 4gb of dedicated RAM.

Monitor is 1920x1080.

Total system RAM is 8gb.

Not sure exactly how much HDD space is left but it's a few hundred GBs, definitely enough for NV + all DLCS + pretty much any and all mods.

Is not a laptop, I built my computer myself.

I have Windows 10 Home, 64x bit.

Game is located C:\Program Files( x86)\steam\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas.

I actually don't know if I run it as admin or not. There is only one account on my PC, and it is admin. I probably do but can't be sure for everything.

My FNV is whatever the most updated version on Steam is.

I have Honest Hearts DLC and Old World Blues DLC, no others.

I use mostly NMM but I also do have FOMM.

No construction kits.

I do have the NVSE, no other 'helper' programs.

I also did apply a 4GB patch to my game.

My game has never worked when using FCO, but has always worked when not using it.

I don't think verifying steam files applies to my problem, but no I have not.

Here is my load order on FOMM from top to bottom:

FCO v3.01 is under the "Update Files" section of the mod download page, which is below the images under the "Main Files" section. You need both. Install the "Main File" first (580MB), and then the update patch (2.4MB). There is no "v3.1". Pay attention to the numbering used, as the number and position of digits are used to convey version and sub-version information. "3.01" is indicating minor bug fixes to "v3.0". "V3.1" would be indicating a more major update or bug-fix short of a completely new version.

Please provide ALL the information requested in the wiki "How to ask for help" article. FCO may be conflicting, but if so it is with some other mod. Plenty of people have gotten it work so it's not just that mod alone.

Please see the 'Solutions to Starting the game problems' section' and 'Body Replacer - FCO' entries under the 'Solutions to Graphics problems' sections in the wiki "Fallout NV Mod Conflict Troubleshooting" guide.

If this is your first attempt at modding a Bethesda game, strongly recommend you read the entirety of the wiki "FNV General Mod Use Advice" article.

Okay by v3.1 I meant 3.01, sorry.

But I do have both the main files (v3.0) and the update file (v3.01) installed. However the NMM still says that the main FCO files are outdated.

It won't let me turn off and on the Archive Invalidation anymore (I could earlier but now I can't) it says that access to fallout.ini is denied. I'm on the administrator account so I don't know why it would say that.

I'll update my post with all the stuff now, sorry.

I got it solved by myself. Disabled some stuff in FOMM that shouldn't have been enabled and reorganized my load order and it works now! Thanks anyway though!
