Pelgar Posted April 5, 2012 Share Posted April 5, 2012 The only "unwalkable thingy" that I know of is a CollisionMarker. The problem is it blocks all; player, npc, creatures... to the best of my knowledge. I really don't understand why they are ignoring the navmesh! Maybe the navmesh doesn't apply to creatures like it does the humanoids. I'm sort of tied up right now but there are some deathclaws near where I'm modding. As soon as I can I'll see if I can box them in by cutting navmesh around them. I'll also place one of your VSpawnTier3GiantRadscorpionMed75 scorpions in the area and see what I can do. I'm beginning to think it may be a bit late to expect much modding help in NV. It appears that most of the modders have moved on to skyrm. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Pelgar Posted April 5, 2012 Share Posted April 5, 2012 I cut my navmesh and the creatures would not cross into the unnavmeshed area. I tested it with a deathclaw, VCrTier3GiantRadscorpionMed and VSpawnTier3GiantRadscorpionMed75. I had to test twice, the deathclaw killed the scroprions before I could tell if they would cross the line or not. I didn't realize the two would not coexist. Pelgar Posted April 5, 2012 Share Posted April 5, 2012 kampeao,Sorry man, I just took another look at the images you posted. I don't know how I missed it yesterday but your navmesh is not finalized. It's hard to tell from the small image but it looks like your navmesh should continue from your hatch cell into all three cells, that can be seen in the image, around it. There is a large break between the hatch cell and the cell to its right and another break at the cell above. If there is no terrain that would prevent a npc from crossing from cell to cell where the heavy green cell border lines are broken then the lines should not be broken. You need to load each cell into your Render Window and finalize the navmesh for each. If there are still breaks at the cell borders and if there is not terrain blockage at the breaks you need to get the navmesh pixels, in adjoining cells, closer to each other. The adjoining cell pixels should basically look like one large pixel from any angle they are viewed from. Be sure to finalize the navmesh in any cell you had to move a pixel in. kampeao Posted April 6, 2012 Author Share Posted April 6, 2012 So, after a private conversation with Pelgar(Kudos for him for his efforts) i still haven't found a solution other than moving the hatch for some other place.Does anyone have another solution? (If not, I'll move it, but i'd really like to understand what the problem is).So far, looks like the navmesh isn't the problem, but it's the scorpions...maybe it's some kind of special scorpions, or because they aren't the creatures, but the spawn markers, and so the "can't open doors" option is nulled out and can't be checked...Does anyone have any idea or want to try the mod to fix the problem?Thanks again to Pelgar for his help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
