Bazerk83
So after completely wiping Fallout 3 FULLY and startinga fresh new install with a brand new directory in a non-windows driver. I've continued installing the following complete with all the suggested CTD "fixes".... and I'm still randomly CTD'ing..... - Installed Fallout 3 GOTY edition (retail cd)- Installed DLCs- Installed patch 1.7- Installed FOMM- Installed FOSE- Installed BOSS- Installed GECK- Installed FO3edit- Installed Fallout Stutter Remover- Installed and enabled 3gb enabler- Added Fallout 3.exe to FFDshow Video/Audio lists- Installed Creative Alchemy and entered registry path- COMPLETELY uinstalled all .net frameworks and installed .net 4.0- installed c++ 2005, 2008, 2010. (still had CTDs running only 2008)- Edited ini with the famous two lines under general (busethreadedai=1 and the other line to recudes cores to 2)- Edited ini for performance tweaking- switched FOMM to compatibilty mode (xp service pack 2)- Ran FOMM as admin- There's probably more I'm forgetting but yeah, you name it I've tried it. I only have FWE loaded along with Fallout remastered + FWE support AND Darnified + FWE support. STILL CRASHING!!! So my question is............ have any of the glaring issues I've just posted been fixed or even looked at? I don't know what else to do to reduce these money amounts. elvinkun
Honestly, I don't think Beth fixed anything with GOTY, still leaks memory, still crashes, still has more bugs than players. As far as I saw, the only explanation from Beth was that it "simply" crashes on "some" systems. Period. Up to you what some systems are and why exactly it crashes.Frankly, Oblivion crashes, without a fix, F3 crashes, without a fix, FNV crashes, without a fix, Skyrim crashes even more and it's not only without a fix, but they are also sabotaging any fixes players make... Sarissi
I think the problem comes down to a couple of things. 1. The software works just fine on THEIR systems. That it crashes your system is not their problem. 2. Corporate Paranoia. DRM has been around since before Windows existed. DRM is anti piracy measures, where ALL end users are ASSUMED to be pirates and thieves. Now we have the followind endless loop: 10 New insane and sadistic DRM scheme implemented: Same scheme cracked: GOTO 10 Of course, avid to hardcore PC gamers are like a bunch of masochistic lemmings that run out en mass to buy the newest game that has more bugs than a wire mesh colander has holes. There are so many hardware and driver configs for Windows that it is impossible to get games totally crash free.
