Grizzly696
Firstly I'd like to apologise if you've seen my name pop up several times in the Fallout help section for other various problems, they are however fixed thanks to you guys so you won't be seeing them again. I'm sure however that you guys must be sick of seeing my name pop up in the forums by now! Anyway, I'm having a problem with NVSR, basically I've put the mod in the correct folder which is in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data\NVSE\plugins but I'm now having a couple problems. Firstly the game will boot up only to the very first menu despite whatever method I use, that being the one which generally starts when you use launcher to load the game, and I can choose graphics settings or actually boot up the game etc. Basically I click the play button and the box disappears and reappears and I can actually load into the game, the only way to get the game running normally again to is remove the sr_New_Vegas_Stutter_Remover.dll & .ini. The second problem I'm having is that if I look at my graphics settings in the launcher screen it's only detecting my integrated GPU, as opposed to my Nvidia GPU, and if I click on the scroll down menu to change it it's not there at all, once again the only way to fix this problem is to delete the .dll & .ini as stated above. I seem many changeable settings in the .ini but I'd personally rather not fiddle around too much with them as I'm not 100% familiar with the game enhancer. Here's my current pathetically small load list. luthienanarion
If you have a file named d3d9.dll in your main Fallout directory, delete it and don't install another one. These modified DLLs do not work with setups that have multiple selectable GPUs (laptop, I presume) and will always use the integrated chip. If you're running the game from the launcher, you're not running NVSE at all. Make sure you're running nvse_loader.exe to start the game instead. I was using a custom launch via NMM which uses the NVSE4gb.exe, even when I was using NMM it would boot up to the launcher which I found a bit confusing. Deleting the d3d9.dll however worked and I can happily continue playing! You're an absolute star, I hope you know that, accept my kudos!
luthienanarion
Ah, I always forget about the 4gb loader, since It doesn't want to work on my system. I blame running Windows 8. Glad I could help.
