Pokemonpurson
Okay, so I installed this mod called "Enderal" and it ruined my NMM. I've managed to repair it, but now the launcher won't let me play! I have all the mods together, they are all compatible, all the required files are there, and it lets me boot up the game to the smaller window with the options "Play, Options, Support, Quit" and when I click "Play" it closes the game! I've been spending the last 3 days repairing the launcher, re downloading everything, and getting all the files into the correct folders. Does anyone know what to do?! Any and all help is appreciated!
wfandrews
Enderal is famous for causing problems after uninstalling the mod. Evidently it leaves some files and changes to files behind. I would delete your ini and prefini files in My Documents/My Games/Skyrim Special Edition and then verify your game files. And then launch from the Steam launcher; this will create the ini files you have deleted. Then start a new game. There is nothing wrong with your NMM. If you have cleaned your DLCs you will have to clean them again after verifying your game files. I assume you are using LOOT to sort your load order and SSEEdit to clean your Update and DLC esm's. It is also helpful to create a merged patch with SSEEdit and a bashed patch with Wrye Bash if you have a lot of mods.

wfandrews
Navigate to My Documents/My Games/Skyrim Special Edition, this is where the ini files and saves of the games you have installed are kept by default. You will see two files, Skyrim.ini and SkyrimPrefs.ini. These two files are created when you first launch your game from the Steam Launcher. They are the files that keep your setting preferences for that game like the difficulty level you are playing at and whether you are allowing auto saves or not and so on. You also need these files to run NMM, LOOT and your other mod tools; these tools will not recognize your game or function properly without those files. I've searched all of the folders for this game with the search bar (so not by hand/manually) and deleted all the "ili" files. Although, the files I deleted were not marked as ".ili" files, so I think I may have downloaded something wrong... Should I just re install NMM and/or SkyrimSE? If so, how do I do that? Thank you for all your help so far!
