sagittamagicus
i've spent a long time getting my custom meshes to work in oblivion. whenever the new piece entered the screen, my game would immediately crash! :wallbash: eventually i used vanilla textures instead of creating my own ones, but the problem is that they don't always fit or even look vaguely like how i want it to! so can anyone tell me how to create my own textures that work in the game?thanks in advance :thanks:
DirTek
I can't tell you how to make the textures. If you know how to add a UV map then you should know how the textures must be done. All I can teach you is to aply you custom textures to the new models. Read my tutorial here: How to fix texturing paths Hope it helps... sagittamagicus
thanks for the help, but i think my problem lies elsewhere... retexturing is easy (for example, i've given a lot of my races custom tattoos) its the creation of new textures for new meshes that has me baffled... again thanks for the try. DirTek
I told you...you know how to create an UV map...you know how to texture the model. Also to learn how the textures are made...view the UV map of a meshe with a texture with NifSkope. You will understand more. Before creating a texture...try taking an existing model...and create a new UV map for it in Blender...(you don't have to import it for Oblivion) then with the help of the new UV map...create a new texture for the model. That should get you started. Cheers  Maafiaman
