Radiationbum
The High Res DLC does not add much for the 50gb space required, drops in performance and increased load times, but Armor, Clothing and Signs all have noticeable improvements, so if anyone with the know how could make a mod that breaks down the High Res DLC so i could add only the new Armor, Clothing, Signs and Weapons texutures that would be awsome. Thanks Edited January 24, 2018 by Radiationbum
AGreatWeight
You won't be seeing anything like this on Nexus, as it's against the TOS to redistribute vanilla game assets (which is what the mod you propose would have to do to fit your desired outcome) It's also in violation of the user agreement (EULA) between gamers and Bethesda, and would be tantamount to piracy. Radiationbum
But dont modders already use ingame textures and models, when ever they want to create something like a vault using ingame assets (unless they're making somthing completely new), so all this would be doing is take the free DLC opening it and taking the textures that you want out of it no profit for modder, no loss of profit for bethesda and no harm done. I'd do it myself if i had any idea about how to make mods. Edited January 25, 2018 by Radiationbum
AGreatWeight
No, mods only contain references (such as filepaths etc) for where the vanilla game assets that they use are stored in the base game, they don't include those actual vanilla game assets in the download.Perhaps you should have a look in the CK forum here. You might not find the exact answer you're looking for, but it's the best place to inform yourself regarding 'how to'.
Perraine
The simplest way is to just extract all the files from the HD Pack into a separate directory on your hard drive, and then copy over only the texture files you want.
