Closedhands
Hey All, I've got a bit of problem with exterior NvM. What I'd like to do is raise the ground up and level it off and then flatten it out so I can place three or four building in a horse shoe shape on the level ground and add a wall around the buildings. I propose to link my NvM to the surrounding NvM but I'm not sure if this will course any problem with NvM under my excavated area. What I was thinking is NPC's and other creatures in the area would be walking into the walls or hillsides because the original NvM is still there and so it would follower that Nvm. I was hoping there maybe away for me to stop that from happening Any heads up will be much appreciated.
agerweb
Not sure what you have done here, have you navmeshed round your houese on top of vanilla navmesh already underneath and got an island of navmesh unconnected?
Closedhands
hi agerweb, thanks for reply. What I've done is raise the land above the Vanilla NvM. Then place my Mesh on the raised land area and link it to the original Mesh via path. The actual land I'm raising will be next to a Preferred Path which I hope to link into from the Enclave I've created. All I'll be doing is raising a island and then connect via a path to the original NMesh. I'm just worried it may cause problems.
agerweb
You need to cut out the existing navmesh thats now under your island and then link to the island you have created at whatever access points you need. Otherwise NPCs will attempt unsuccessfully to follow the existing navmesh under the hill you have created.
