Companion armor and custom raider

Recommended Posts

Hell nexus,

I am trying to make a custom new map (like nuka world and far harbor).

Now i have some questions.

1. The companion i want to add should have the toxic raider armor, now my question is how do i do it? (i know its via outfits but is it possible if the armor is in pieces?, i want to be able to change the outfits like a regular companion. Or should i just combine the parts in outfit studio, if so how do i make the piercings unremovable unlike the outfit?

2. I want to add my own custom raider gang to the map, do i have to make a new faction to avoid them spawning in the base and dlc maps?

Thanks

I haven't tried it for FO4, but if "outfits" in the creation kit work the same as they did in Oldrim, then you can just specify any and all "pieces" that make up a particular characters default "costume" and save that combination as a new "Outfit" item, which should then appear in the drop down list when creating NPC's and assigning default costumes.

Sounds like yes, you'd have to create a unique faction.

Well in the Oldrim CK, you created an outfit by selecting the different parts (torso, feet, hands, etc) and saved that as an "Outfit" item with a unique name. For Oldrim, there was like Housecarl Outfit, or Stormcloak Guard, or Imperial Soldier or Solitude Noble etc, hundreds of different "outfits" really, with different combinations of armor/clothing pieces.

The when you created an NPC you'd go to the inventory tab, and there is a drop down list which has all those various outfits, and you just need to select the one you previously put together.
