CTD on Startup newly patched SKSE

Hi guys newbie poster here. Getting some weird problems on starting up Skyrim with SKSE. The command prompt will start then a few seconds later the game will crash. No menu screen what-so-ever. I've used BOSS, I've deactivated mods. Nothings really working. Could these just be corrupted files or could it be something with the new update? Not really sure.

What mods are you running? What's your OS and rig specs? Is Steam running in the background when you start the SKSE loader? etc.

Did you download the correct version of SKSE? There's an updated version made for the 1.5.26.0 patch of Skyrim.

Yeah I'm crashing too. Same exact way I've turned off all mods, the command prompt comes up goes, away, and then a few seconds later (without Skyrim even coming up) it says that it crashed. I know I have the right version installed.

I also use Sky UI and iHud. I believe I may have XCE and some other things that just replace textures and meshes, but I doubt those cause the problem..

Edit: Just now tried starting without SKSE, still crashed. Maybe we have different problems if you are certain your crash is due to SKSE. Although you should probably try without SKSE too.

Double Edit: Do you use ScriptDragon for anything? I don't think its updated to the newest version of Skyrim, and iHud needs that for certain things, I don't know what other mods use it, but if you have that it may be the problem.

Edit Edit Edit!!!: Removing ScriptDragon and iHud fixed my game, I wish you luck with yours if it isn't the same problem as mine! :thumbsup:

Edit^4: Oh and just a heads-up if you happen to have PISE (Forgot what that was, some combat things maybe?) it will crash at the main menu.

Yes, infact. I downloaded the SKSE patch Thursday. I'm hoping its not bad to the point of uninstalling.

Don't know if you have done any disabling of mods .. there is still a navm issue even with 1.5.26 (dicussion on this in the bethesda forum, CK section of skyrim) so might try disablin the Overlook Tower mods and see what happens (if have things stored don't ferget to remove) or some of the other dungeon/house mods. After that would look at some of the texture style mods. Me I generally start by disabling all and then adding them back in one or two at a time.

 

Note am presuming have validated correct version of skyrim and skse .... good luck and good hunting.

Got it to work! It was indeed script dragon. I really only used it for Thume Shouter which really didn't seem to work out but since I've taken care of the script dragon problem NO crashes what so ever. Thank you so much K00L!
