What exactly do i type inside this file? also after search, i found four hits for the file...what to mod?

Directions on Nexus say...

Installation latest 0.7 version:

1. If you have ver 0.4 - Remove NewDialog_en.bsa from Fallout4.ini, delete NewDialog_en.bsa from Fallout4\Data folder.

2. Install NMM.

3. If you install latest version of NMM, then add ", interface\" to sResourceDataDirsFinal in Fallout4.ini (usually in C:\Users<USERNAME>\Documents\My Games\Fallout4) like this: sResourceDataDirsFinal=STRINGS\, interface\

4. Download with NMM.

5. Click install.

6. Configure visual style what YOU like.

7. Play.

A bit more clarity of what to type if anyone can...sorry ...not great at this stuff but really want to do it. :)

what exactly are you asking?

do you not understand the installation instructions , and you want some clarification?

Is this your first time installing this mod? have you installed any mods before? do you have any mod manager installed? have you set up your game for modding?

It would really help to understand your situation , and try to figure out the exact issue here

Sorry for confusion. :) i understand most of the instructions regarding the mod manager part, but the section detailing how to mod the Fallout.ini file gets me. Sorry, I'm not very savvy on stuff like that. What exactly am i supposed to type? You will really have to spell it out. Literally. Thank you very much for any and all input. :)

well , the instructions are actually right there , but I'll try to make it clearer for you

so you need to go to your My Documents -> My Games -> Fallout4

inside you'll find a file named Fallout4.ini , open it up in your preferred text file editor (I recommend Notepad++)

once you open the file , do a search (Control + F) for sResourceDataDirsFinal

all you have to do is to add interface\ to the end of the line , and save the file (make sure it's not set as Read Only prior to this)

this should be it
