kitcat81
Hey all, may be someone can help me with my problem. I have created dialog topics that my npc should say randomly during detection events. Most lines work properly without any issues. But I have one topic which is much longer than others (20+ seconds and near to 150 characters). I have created lip files (from wav) for all dialogue lines. The problem is that sound plays till the end, but the lip movement stops right in the middle of the line. At first I thought that maybe the topic is too long so I cut it in 2 parts, but ended up with the same problem. The sound file works properly, but lip movement stops in the middle of the line which is now already 1/4 of the oginial length  . I`m starting to think that maybe I should create a double lip file ( twice longer than I need) to make it play till the end of the sound..But I don`t really understand what causes the problem and can`t find any guides covering lip files issues or limitations. Any help is greatly appreciated.
kitcat81
I think I have figured it out myself. The system dislikes some certain sounds and can`t convert them into lip movement. My file is a short song and long "eee" in the middle of phrase was just ignored by the lip file gererator. For unknown reason after 3-4 tries I`ve got a bit better result. But still some words were ignored and it looks like my actor is lazy to open his mouth ..lol. Wish there was a tutorial how to get a better result. kitcat81
Got that problem with Aiiiiiiiiiiii kiiiiiiiilllllllllll you to deatttttthhhhhhhhhh (in the style of a dead terrorist doing Spanish folk screaming) line a char wouldn't sync to. The system is kind of unpredfictable. I`ve got much better result with 'a-a-a' than 'e-e-e' sounds. :D And each time you press 'generate' , it produces slightly different result and even file size is slightly different each time. I ended up creating a special sound file of the same length with me screming 'la-la-la' to use for the lip file generation.
