Waveord
So, I recently upgraded my computer, and after getting everything situated, I installed New Vegas again. At first everything seemed to be fine, but then I started getting horrendous FPS drops at seemingly random intervals. FNV set the graphics settings at ultra by default, but even after turning everything down to medium, the FPS drops only got first. Initally, the FPS drops would mostly only occur during fights, but after lowering the graphics settings to medium, the stuttering just occurred all the time. Before upgrading my computer, I ran FNV on medium settings with no issues, even with more mods than I'm running now. And yes, I have updated my drivers; I just did yesterday, in fact. My computer build is as follows:Nvidia GTX 560 GPUWindows XP 32 bit2.99 GB RAMIntel i5 CPU-2500 @3.3 GHzIntel Z68 Extreme3 Gen3 mobo And my load order is:FalloutNV.esmProject Nevada-Core.esmProject Nevada-Equipment.esmProject Nevada-Cyberware.espProject Nevada-Rebalance.espMore Perks.esmMore Traits.esmMoMod.esmAWOP.esmNSkies URWLified.esmNVB.espNVBII.espdD-Enhanced Blood Main NV.espdD-More Gore.espLFox Bottle That Water.espReadius_NV.espShotgun Commando.espMore Traits Update.espMore Perks Update.espUHNV.espWeaponModsExpanded.espWMX-ShotgunCommando.espAWOP-MoMod.espWMX-AWOP.espPerkEveryLevel.esp On another forum topic the posters said that their problem was with PN's inventory sorter sorting every casing as it was picked up, causing a lot of FPS issues. But my issues occur at nearly any time, not just when firing on full auto like those users. Any help would be appreciated, of course, because this is driving me crazy. Callen151
Ive got the EVGA 2GB version of that card. Its a good card. Im using New Vegas Stutter Remover which lets you cap your fps. I get a steady 40fps. Every now and then it drops down to 35 or lower, and im running about 85 mods plus the Large NMC texture pack, the Weapons Retexture Project, along with Directors chair, Imaginator cinematech. But only in resource heavy places. I would recommend the NVSE 4gb enabler but you've barely got 3gigs of RAM. My guess would be is your graphics card is outpowering your CPU and RAM and causing it to be unstable. Edited April 1, 2012 by Callen151
Waveord
I'm using NVSR, and that is doing basically nothing for me right now. My RAM is exactly as it was before I upgraded my computer, if that means anything, and my current graphics settings are about exactly where they were before the upgrades. Is there anything I can do to fix this aside from getting Windows 7 and more RAM? And if it helps, I can run LA Noire on high settings and Far Cry 2 on maximum settings with nary a hiccup, so it confuses me as to why Fallout would cause so many problems suddenly.
