Im having this issue every time that I try and add a mod, it seems. The mod seems to download just fine, but adding seems to be the issue.

yeah i am having this problem too, one mod is working fine the nude females v1.4 full but i can't get anything else to load they install just fine but when it comes to activating the patches it keeps giving me boss_api_error_file_write_fail; if i don't get this i get another error message and the manager shuts down. what do i do? i've tried unistalling and reinstalling and i tried moving files around.

i had this same problem then i decided to think about it and what was happening was that the files that it wanted to edit or whatever were hidden (i think, either way this worked for me). so i disabled that by going into C:\Users\yourcomputername and right clicking appdata, going to properties, and at the bottom unchecking the box that said "hidden."

 

i'm not sure if it's safe or not but it fixed it.

edit: This also fixed my issue with my desktop background being stuck at the same picture, lol.
