pypes82
On my female characters without boots(exposed legs) the legs are invisible. How do I fix this? I am very new to modding and really don't know what I am doing yet. Please help. Your help would be greatly appreciated. This bug is driving me crazy. Please tell me how to go about finding the problem and fixing it. Thanks.
WastelandAssassin
Is it just the legs that go invisible? is the rest of the naked body visible?because this sounds like a case of missing meshes , but from what I know , the leg is part of the body mesh , while the feet have separate meshesso if I'm correct , which is missing? the whole leg or just the foot? are you using any mods that alter body meshes? assuming you do , make sure you've installed them properly , and set up your game for modding correctlythere are plenty of tutorials on how to mod Skyrim correctly , and It sounds like it's your first go at it , so you should probably start with some tutorials , best to find ones regarding your preferred mod manager
pypes82
The missing area is from the knee to the foot. The shoes are there. Its the skin thats missing. Its missing on the npc women. I dont have the armor which is causing the clipping issue on the npcs. Would it help narrow it down if i gave you my mod and plugin list? I have seen a video showing similar issues on youtube and the fix was to alter the skyrim ini file. Could this be the correct fix? Just a little worried i could make things worse by making this change.
WastelandAssassin
let me see if I understand you correctlydoes this issue occur when female characters have no armor on , or does it happen with specific armors that expose the legs?how have you installed the mods you use?because invisible skin usually means missing meshes , which could mean improper mod installation , no ArchiveInvalidation or other issuesIf this is the case , the solution would depend on the mod manager you use (the ini fix might be related to ArchiveInvalidation , I will need to see the video you mentioned to be sure , but if that is the case , NMM and MO handle this without manual ini edits) It would really help if you explained the problem , because I probably didn't quite understand itand a picture would also helpI doubt this stems from a mod conflict , so your mod list and load order are probably not necessary at the moment
pypes82
It seems to occur with certain armor equipped on female characters which expose the legs (female npc's I haven't gotten those kinds of armors for my character to see if it is the same on my character as well.) I have installed the mods with nexus mod manager. Here are the you tube videos I have found regarding the above posts: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oXerLOkUjK4&list=WL&index=13 I took a picture with my phone however I am unable to send you the picture I have because the file size is too big. Is there any other way I could get you the picture so you could see what I am talking about? Thanks Mark
pypes82
I have this mod and I think the optional files here may contain the missing meshes you were talking about. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/7505?tab=files Which files do I need? Will it hurt to download one at a time and uninstall if it doesn't fix my problem? Thanks,
Augh3d
Since you linked to book of UUNP, and we are talking aboot missing calves, I'm going to take a wild guess the problem npcs are the thots females in the college at Winterhold. If you have the mage boots (which are strappy heels in book of UUNP) installed but not the extremely skimpy mage outfits (so, torso clothing/armor), the bodies may be using meshes which seem to stop at the knee, this results in a gap like you're describing. I remember this happening at least when messing around with strange combinations of replacers. You could load up the .nifs for the outfits concerned in bodyslide, nifskope or whatever and confirm if this is the case. If it is, you could re-bodyslide/replace the bodies, or boots that are causing problems with variants that meet up. Or you could give the non skimpy .esp a try, on your linked page it's the "Weylander's non skimpy patch". A screenshot would sure make things easier to pin down, you can screenshot via your Steam screenshot hotkey, or printscreen with most ENBs, or printscreen and paste to paint, or whatever. Throw it on imgur or your choice of image hosting, it'll help. Edit: Eeh, I was going to force this to happen and take a screenshot so you could confirm if it's the same combination/problem you're encountering, but I can't actually find the mage outfits I managed to cause it with, mine are all sluts with complete legs down to the ankle, or wearing pants. WastelandAssassin
can you identify which item causes the problem?for example , find an NPC with this bug , use the "Kill" command on it , and take the items from the corpsetry wearing each piece to identify the problematic itemtry to see if others are reporting issues with the same item on the mod's page , or if one of the files handles thisif not , you can try to find out if the textures are really missing and try to fix it (either by moving the textures , or by replacing the model like Augh3d suggested)
