Dangerwank
So I've been using SKSE and NMM for awhile, but haven't played in a couple months. I recently got that ol' itch and decided to install a couple mods and play again. Well I updated SKSE to 1.04.15 (The 1.5.26 build or whatever) and installed the latest ScriptDragon. I never checked to see if Skyrim launched without SKSE before I updated. I tried to launch with SKSE and the black box popped up and disappeared real quick, but no Skyrim. I opened Task Manager and TESV.exe is sitting there at 31,000k (Roughly) and not doing anything. That seems really low, especially when it used to run at like 800,000k. So I ran the straight launcher from the Skyrim Directory, it loaded up and I hit PLAY. Same thing, 31,000k range. Then I tried verifying my game cache through Steam. No change. All launchers and loaders are set to Run as Administrator. Specs:AMD Phenom II X4 965 Quad-core 3.4ghzNvidia GTX2604gb DDR3 RamWindows 7 Ultimate x64 Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to reinstall as the download will take forever. Any information you need I'll provide. Thanks :D

Thanks :DWell for a start, I'm fairly sure that ScriptDragon hasn't been updated to 1.5.26 as of yet. It'll run fine on Skyrim 1.5.24.0, but we're still waiting on an update. That could be your problem. If not, then I'm not entirely sure, I'm having trouble getting the game to load up my saves, which means that I get to see the main menu taunting me everytime I want to play, and I've uninstalled a re-installed at least five times now. Luckily I have a physical version ;)

And yeah that would most likely be my problem, but then SKSE doesn't want to run without being 1.5.26 :/ Also, since it's still showing all mod s*** still in my directory, does that mean I can just reinstall Skyrim and all mods'll still be there? So there's an alternative if you aren't running 1.5.26. If it's still showing your mods then it should have them installed. Just double check your /steamapps/common/skyrim/data directory to see. If the files are still there then go ahead and install. After the install, check again to make sure they're all there but because the installer, according to my knowledge, only installs its own files and disregards all other files you should be fine. jeyemhex
I'm having the same problems with SKSE and skyrim 1.5.26. I noticed that the skse_loader.txt is trying to launch TESV.exe from "C:\Program Files (x86)\...\skyrim\\TESV.exe". I don't know, but my guess is that the double backslash is relevant to why SKSE isn't launching TESV (I think it should be trying to launch "C:\Program Files (x86)\...\skyrim\TESV.exe"). Does anyone know if this is a possible cause of the problem, and if so can it be fixed? EDIT: Never mind, it worked after uninstalling script dragon. Yeah, ScriptDragon seems to be the problem in most cases after the recent update. All we have to do now is wait eagerly, and patiently (which some community members couldn't manage for $1,000,000) for Alexander to release an update for it... Zephyr2011
I had a very similar problem, no SKSE though, I just tried to launch the other day, without having installed any new mods since my last stable configuration and it just wouldn't launch. When I deleted Script Dragon it worked fine then, but I didn't understand why it suddenly caused a problem now when it was fine just a few days ago. Unless there was an update a day or to ago and steam updated Skyrim at night or something and so I missed it.

However, Alexander has updated ScriptDragon to work with 1.5.26 now, so go and grab that along with the latest release of SKSE if you haven't already. Dangerwank
Sorry for the late response. Stupid internet provider. I got it working finally. I had to delete a single .dll that handled custom hotkeys for ScriptDragon stuff. It didn't affect any of the mods I had installed but still kept ScriptDragon :D. It was called like DNP8.dll or something similar. Thanks for the quick replies and all the help ;)
