luvandfeelins
I haven't had time to isolate which mod but de-activating these helped: Auto-unequip ArrowsVampire OverhaulFrostfall - Hypothermia Camping SurvivalRealistic Animal Loot Will try to isolate and find out what was causing it later. That's interesting, I had the same thing happen where my savegame went from 5,000 to 100,000mb in the period of about 3 saves. I was in town and moved into different cells. I also had Frostfall and Realistic Animal Loot loaded. I was using the latest beta version though (1.6 I think). I have used Frostfall for a while and had it installed before the bloating happened. Realistic Animal Loot is a new one and I had installed it not long before the bloating occurred.
apricot507
I'm having the same issue with the bloated file. I have been experiencing periodic lags for a while now but in the last 24 hours things changed a little. This time it started with being randomly teleported to the Mzinchaleft Great Lift in middle of gameplay every so minutes. I found out this is a bug when using the lift, so I finally solved it by making a mod which disables the lift entirely. Then I got this problem where the beast form skill is buggy and won't change the race of my character to the werewolf, so basically my character stays the same but I cannot open the favorite menu, skill menu, map etc. I need to use control commands to go around this and haven't managed to fix it. I tried leaving the game running for the night (approx 8 hrs) in the hope that the character would shift back on its own (and to check if the Mzinchaleft bug returned, but it didn't), but at my wake I just found him naked in the middle of nowhere. The skill is still broken. However to my surprise the savefile has gone from 17MB to 45MB and lags are now more frequent and take longer. I have found this apparent solution and haven't tried it out yet, www.gamefaqs.com/boards/615805-/63546645 otherwise I wouldn't know what else to do. Bellasimo
Hi, I noticed that no one wrote new posts here since a long time...well...I've got the latest Skyrim Patch(1.8.151.0) and last week my save bloated from 21mb(about 179 hours gaming) to 39mb. I noticed that there are so many mods that aren't compatible each other. Now, reading your posts: Frostfall is one of the bloating mods(yes I've got it in my long list of mods installed); Imaginator and Dynavision are both (IMHO) fantastically perfect mods created for those who don't want to loose FPS. I can't understand why there are so many problems with them. I started a new game but after 2 hours the save has bloated again to 5mb...too much!! Hoping someone has a real fix for this..................ps.sorry for my language, I'm italian!)
Belial666
More mods = more bloat. It has to save all the info about the stuff when it's moved, taken, etc.Texture and mesh replacers should have no real affect, but other mods that add new or more items can cause it.I'm LVL 46 and only a 13M save, and only use body and texture replacers and unofficial patches, and thought mine was big. Bellasimo
Ok, but I think there are only few graphical mods that are affcted by this problem. Now "I'm sleeping" in Falkreath and the save file it's decreasing its dimension(after 4 days of sleep from 9mb to 7mb), so I'll continue...do you know what is the dimension of yhe filesave after 6hours?
Belial666
If your save decreases after 4 days of sleep there's a good reason. It's cause after a certain time things reset, and only things need saving are the differences between default and changed. It don't need to remember default placement of things, jsut changed ones if you took,or moved, etc. That's why more mods that add things in game,if they don't reset after a certain time,or anything will keep the bloat. There could be some bugs that are saving things that don't need to be saved which could bloat it,but I'm using Skyrim,Hearthfires,Dawnguard, 3 unofficial patches, and official hi res packs,I'm still at 13.6M and doing dawnguard missions. Bellasimo
I really don't know but I have unistalled every mod one by one and unistalling "cloaks of skyrim" the save file decreased from 14mb to 11mb...! Hope that this mod (for me) is the problem!
Gryphex
This game has full of bugs + mods make more bugs. I might not play ES VI unless they fix all those bugs that waste our time a lot.
