AngelaR
Alright, I've been having some overcrowding issues on my C: drive so I have been moving things over to my D: drive. I uninstalled DAO and reinstalled it to the D: drive (it was such a pain when I copied and deleted it) and started a new game after reinstalling all of my mods...None of the updater mods were working and it took me a little while to realize that anything I uploaded was being sent to my C: drive. I've been trying to figure out why it's recognizing the C: as the location drive when everything is in D. I've uninstalled DAO 2 more times and reinstalled it just because I thought maybe, maybe, I didn't get everything, but that isn't the case. My updater is saving everything in the 'my documents/bioware/addins' folder in C and there isn't anything in the D addins folder. I have to be doing or skipping something and just not seeing it. :wallbash: Any Suggestions? Thanks.
AngelaR
Nevermind, I just am fed up with it and I moved the game back to the C: drive so the mods would work. Thanks for checking out the post anyway.
Thandal
This is why using mods isn't "plug-n-play", and why if you're going to use mods with a non-standard installation you have to understand exactly what's going on, and how to work-around the issues that creates. And when you won't be able to. :geek:

balmz
try using the daupdater to search d, if not one idea is you move all the mods to desktop and then have daupdater look in that spot
AngelaR
It was installing everything on the C: drive when the game was installed on the D: drive and the mods are still there. Before getting this computer I didn't have this much of a problem....but then again I've had a steady dose of migraines (daily) over the past 2 months and they really have been hindering my troubleshooting abilities and it's taken my 100% patience to -100%. I didn't want to continue making my migraines worse so I just put the game back on my cramped C: drive. I'll deal with it another time when I'm better and I can think more clearly. Migraines suck....Just saying. I'll catch you later balmz and thanks for the suggestion.
theskymoves
Mods will always install to the default Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age location, no matter what the game install location, and it sounds like yours is still on C: The procedure to change the location of My Documents is OS dependent, and if done incorrectly, can break more than your game; I'll leave it to you to (a) research the task, and (b) decide whether it is worth doing. Note that IF you do pursue changing the OS My Documents folder location, then you will probably have to reinstall any games/programs that have store folders in it.
