In early playthroughs I ignored that dialog and I ended up having some settlements have respawning, clearing issues. Future dialogs were broken and it ended up being a mess for some settlements. Since that time I have always made a point of killing at least one attacker and speaking with a settler to make sure I get that dialog and complete it. By doing this I have never had a settlement "break" on me and they all perform perfectly. Now whether it is this diligence, or some Beth update, or something else altogether that fixed some of these early release issues, I do not know. I do know that I have never had a settlement go "off" by following this path and completing the attack sequence. Perhaps a mod could eliminate that dialog, but be careful because it could cause other issues if not done correctly. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
