Ancient days and ancient stars,

Highways, roads, and beloved cars;

Necks as long as the sky can reach,

Where the land was darkened black with bleach.

 

Balloons descended with an ominous cause,

And the world stopped with a haunting pause.

Flowering, blooming, the phoenix did rise,

And opened its wings to their untimely demise.

 

It swept the land with an ashen clutch,

And seized so many that was more than enough.

Children, Moms, and Dads, may hide,

May you hope the cloud never peeks inside.

 

And when it was over, the bird was gone,

All were eloped with its terrible song;

Cleansed and reborn, a new day under the stars,

With those Highways, roads, and beloved cars.
