No love for mages?

So I've noticed that while there are plenty of re textures of existing robes, and even a couple of really awesome looking female only sets, I was thinking it would be nice to have a few more robes for both males and females. It would be especially nice to have some sort of armored battle mage robe, but any new robes would be great, just to add some much needed variety for us poor mages :)

There is a mod that blends the meshes of the novice, apprentice, and adept robes with steel plate armor. However, I think these are technically heavy armor though, and not true robes.

Also, there's a great armor pack that expands the light armor set, one of which is a pretty cool Dwemer Mage Robe, but again, its armor and not a true robe.

I wish I knew how people mixed and matched the parts of meshes, so I could put together a few of my own. I've got tons of ideas for higher level robes that incorporate moonstone, glass, quicksilver (for the blades), and ebony into different robe messes, perhaps with unique affects like "fortify mage armor bonus" in addition to reducing spell costs and magic regen.

There's a couple more as well:

The Male Cleric version:

Battle Mage:

Warmage:

and there are now male equivalents of the robes from Art of Magicka (althought it is still considered a beta update):

Thanks! I absolutely love the Male Cleric Armor. I dismissed it at first glance but when I looked at all the options, I really loved it, its exactly what I've been looking for.

As for the Robed Steel Plate mod, I'm working on a similar mod that uses those meshes, but makes them into craftable robes. They won't have any armor rating, but they will weight a bit more than normal robes, as steel will be included in the crafting recipe (if I can work out how to do crafting recipes). This'll be my first real mod, but if it works out, I want to be able to share it. Do I need permission from the guy that created the meshes, or do I just need to credit him in good faith?

My attempts were an utter failure. Still too much of a noob with the CK. Anyone want to try their hand at this?

Take the three armor sets from the Robed Plate Armor (http://skyrim.nexusm...le.php?id=10506) and change them into robes. Perhaps something craftable (unenchanted) or lootable (enchanted, maybe slightly better than their basic robe counterparts)

And if you're feeling particularly generous, maybe apply this approach to the Dwemer Mage Armor from the Lore-friendly Armor Pack (http://skyrim.nexusm...ile.php?id=6684)...

Again, I'm not sure how this works with editing peoples mods and permissions and whatnot...
