JamesBond38
I am almost quitting this game. This game has given me great joy and pain at the same time. I am like a drug addict (but I am addicted to Fallout 4) and I have not played for 1 day. The problem I have with FO4 is 1. In my first playthrough, my saved games seem to crash when I reach level 108 and beyond. 2. In my 2nd playthrough, I updated the game to 1.94 and play it. It crash when I reach level 153 and beyond. 3. In my 3rd playthrough, I am really cautious, install very few mods, never build any major settlements. It crash when I reach level 160. I want to ask: A. Does the game crash when a player reaches a certain level?B. I am hoarding tons of power of power armor in Sanctuary Hills (about 50 to 60). Will that crash the save game? I fully upgraded them and apply all the paint jobs on them.C. My save games are not corrupt. Probably it is best to take a break (but it is good if fellow Fallout fans can enlighten me). Moksha8088
I have not experienced that crash, but for three games in a row I seem to run out of things to do at precisely level 160 so I start a new game. I assume that theoretically, the game levels go higher than that.

In my first few playthroughs I used to outfit all settlers in modded combat armour, even mounting raids on Gunners just to get their armour. Later I got bored with outfitting them and stored it. I found that after settlements like Sanctuary had got to a certain level of complexity the game would CTD if I tried to mod combat armour. I did a check and found I had about 30 sets of armour at Sanctuary ! When I took it all out and scrapped it, no more CTD's. It sounds as though that may be the source of your problem. Thanks for your reply. Are you the person who reply to me on "Tales of the Commonwealth"? That mod was really good. Adds 3 companions, many weapons and quests. I solve the issue in "Tales".The bug will spawn if you do not finish the quest in time. I go off and finish other more urgent quests.

I do not think combat armors will crash the game. Probably mod conflicts.Power armors I will store it at Diamond CIty Home Plate (I am a hoarder I hoard weapons as well).I will leave a few essential mods on. 1. Tales of the Commonwealth2. Fusion CIty Rising3. Outcasts and Remnants4. Ellen the Cartographer5. Heather Casdin6. Unlimited Companion Framework All those quests which I have completed and did not add anything substantial or unique I will uninstall.
JamesBond38
In my 2nd playthrough, I also do a ballistic weave upgrade on all my settlers (Sanctuary Hills).Funny thing is I also rob the Gunners off their combat armors and gave it to my settlers. It is quite comical to see Gunners attacking my settlement when they saw my settlers with Ballistic Weave hats and outfits and heavy combat armors with Gauss rifles. It is best you retreat while you can. Hehe. In my 3rd playthrough, I totally ignore them, I just gave them ballistic weave outfits (and keep the settlement population 3 to 25). 25 being Sanctuary Hills. At Red Rocket, I had only 1 settler (just as a small farm and outpost).

Stored combat armour may not crash your game but everyones game is different and in my game it certainly did. The reason why it happened in settlements which were more complex was because i tended to store more armour there. My current main base is Concord with 46 beds and 25 settlers but i have had no ctds there. I dont value Power Armor and sometimes leave it with a fusion core in for caravan guards to steal or just scrap it. I did have regular CTDs at Sanctuary when I tried to exit power armour but these stopped when I scrapped the combat armour.
