Aenivae
Hi, I've been using FOMM for a little over a year and never had any trouble with it in terms of using multiple mods in a stable way. I was thinking about this lack of difficulty earlier because it started to seem strange that I've used a lot of mods before that should have been in conflict and started to question whether or not I had been installing them correctly. If they were correctly installed, their features should have collided. So, my question is this; when installing mods to the Data directory is it generally recommended that .esp's, .esm's and .bsa be located in the first tier of the folder and not under subsequent sub-folders? Should they be organized as such: c:/win/programs/bethesda/newvegas/data As opposed to: c:/win/programs/bethesda/newvegas/data/RTS Would putting esp's, esm's, and bsa's in sub-folders prevent them from starting up in the game or do they work even within sub-folders? If they don't, then it explains why I rarely encounter compatibility issues as the mods aren't actually loading so as to conflict with each other. Thank you! TheUnmoddedMan
They don't work within sub-folders. Esp's and esm's have to be in the data directory.
