MarchUntoTorment
Your load order is too big, I suspect. I always run into issues when I get too many mods. Do you have New Vegas 4GB in use? If not, use that as your launcher (fixed the problem for me when I had it). If you do, then I'm afraid you'll have to cut down your load order :/
Athelbras
@RepublicDave Out of Memory errors usually occur for the following reason ... Fallout New Vegas is a 32-bit program. That means there is only 2 GB of virtual memory for the game to use by default. Your actual amount of physical RAM does not matter. So if you load up large textures and / or lots of mods, you will probably experience the game running out of memory. Crashes are particularly likely when transitioning into or out of an area that requires a complete unload / load of location data; that includes use of fast travel via the map. The game's available memory can be increased to 4 GB by using a special launcher. In many cases that may eliminate out-of-memory crashes, or at least greatly reduce their occurrence. Note that 4 GB is the maximum possible memory that a 32-bit program can reference (not enough bits for more than that), so it can not be increased beyond 4 GB. And, again, it is independent of actual physical system RAM. Care must still be taken to not overload the game with too much Mod data, even when using 4 GB. Here is a link to one of the downloads that enable 4 GB access: www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55061/? Edited March 18, 2014 by Athelbras
Athelbras
There is a Mod called "Zan AutoPurge Crash Protector" which can help reduce out-of-memory crashes by periodically purging unneeded data from memory while playing. That, plus the 4 GB launcher that I mentioned in my earlier post, can help a great deal. Here is a link: www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/49319/? RoyBatterian
First things first... delete NevadaSkies - Ultimate DLC Edtion.espNevadaSkies - Basic Edtion.esp You didn't read the readme (ALWAYS READ THE README!) You are having a conflict there, you are only supposed to use one of the .esp's, in this case the TTW one because you are using TTW. If a lot of those mod work with TTW, I have no clue... you'd have to do your own research there.
RepublicDave
thanks guys i do have the anti crash mod and the 4GB had to do a comlpete new game just got out of the vault and started adding in the mods i know work so far i havent run into the Out Of Memory crash n its wired becuz i had the same amount of mods installed when i first got the game n never had the problem unless i sould really wait till TTW gets out of beta and into a full fledged mod not sure how long that will be
RoyBatterian
Well, any mods for NV need to be patched probably to work with TTW, unless they are very simple mods. Any mods for Fallout 3 probably will not work at all if they use FOSE functions that aren't in NVSE... and a host of other issues. Just have to check one by one to see what works or not. RepublicDave
i dont have any FO3 mods to use with TTW all are New Vegas and from what i herd on the page that all vegas mods should work becuz its on the Vegas engien not FO3 n using NVSE n i have 107 plug ins again from what i read a higher better gaming pc can handle a big load order
MarchUntoTorment
Nope to the gaming PC thing - NV's in 32 bit. The max load order is 255 for a no-DLC game and 140 for the Ultimate Edition (mine started crashing the hell out at 140, so I cut my load order down a little and it works better now). Since you've got FO3, that figure might be lower still. Not sure.
RoyBatterian
I dunno about that 140 plugin limit, I've used up to 185 without crashing. I also use FNV4GB Updated which I maintain, so perhaps that is why, or perhaps it because of the latest NVSE beta with the expanded heap code. Maybe also because I use NVSR and NVAC in addition, sometimes I suspect these out of memory crashes have more to do with insufficient video card memory. I have a 3GB card and only 8GB system ram. On the other hand, I use not too many mods with fallout 3 and it was a real PITA to get it not crashing constantly, and it still does on occasion.
