Calamachus
Anybody else find they use a huge pile of mods but almost never endorse them. This makes me a bad person who does not deserve nice things. Why? Because I pick a lot of the mods I play based on other peoples endorsements. If I don't endorse the mods I play then A) I'm not giving due props to the modder who invested so much time in something I'm greedily enjoying (479 hours played baby, RESPECT IT) and B) I'm not adding my support to an accurate reflection of what mods people are downloading and using to promote more mods along the same line. In comes NMM. Which is amazing and deserves an up-vote of its own but that's another story. The 'latest version' column lets me link directly to the mods page and easily vote it up - so I did. Quick and easy. Now it's your turn! Time to put up some endorsements! Fire up NMM and come face to face with just how many mods you use and give them the respect you've been denying them like the abusive SOB you are! DO IT. RustyBlade
I do my very best to endorse every mod I download as long as it works. If it has a bug or two I still endorse but I also report the bug to the mod author. If I try it and don't like it but it works as advertised, I still endorse it. I also try not to download on the last day of the month on the off chance that I don't get back on to endorse it before my download history erases. NMM says I am currently using 83 Skyrim mods, 72 FONV mods and 46 FO3 mods. The actual count of mods tried is much higher. To those of you who aren't endorsing, think of it as a way to say thank you to the mod author without actually having to post anything - one simple click is all it takes. Staind716
I agree completely with you on this. It's kind of sad to see files with thousands of users that only have a few hundred endorsements. I am pretty good about endorsing the mods that I use but have fallen behind on endorsing some of them that I should have already. Thanks for the reminder.
GoodfellowGoodspring
I tend to endorse after i download and play it (and generally enjoy it) i usually put it off if there are any bugs present and wait for the author to put out a new version. I like when others endorse my files even though i haven't put in half the work as the 'great' mods out there and theres no complex scripting but i appreciate that they thanked me for taking the time to make something for them! The one thing which does annoy me however is when people endorse on 'WIP' mods, why would you say thanks to a buggy mod which isnt finished yet?! (this applies to mine too!) :O Edited April 2, 2012 by GoodfellowGoodspring
alsoran
I've been neglecting my endorsements for some time but you have given me a timely reminder. Just spent the evening doing a catch up, very worthwhile, Thank you for the bump.
shotgun188
A lot of the time a mod is so good that I'm so busy playing it that I forget to endorse. I'll try and catch up soon but I have a fair few Skyrim mods and probably a hundred Oblivion mods to catch up on.
Mithoron
There are some mods that are so awesome, I endorse as soon as the timer is up. Once a week I go through my "Latest Downloaded Files" list in my profile and am always amazed when there's a rash of mods I forgot to endorse. At the very least, people should go here to see some of the mods they downloaded recently and from there you can just click the thumb's up icon to endorse! Calamachus
Huzzah for endorsements! In fact this has got me trawling through lightly-endorsed mods, looking for under-appreciated goodies to try and if they are good, endorse them. Anyone have an recommendations that are not otherwise all over the top of the list?
SergeantGrrock
Kudo to Calamachus for bringing this up. Let's keep those folks happy. They contribute much and really get very little in return.
