PaladinJukes
I'm not gonna act like I know what I'm doing. I'm less than a novice at modding so Imma leave this up a dew days/weeks and see if anyone rises to the challenge so I dont release something bad. My I dea is remaking the two talking armors. The Prototype Medic Power Armor and the Stealth suit mark 2. I plan on attempting this myself, but as far as I have seen, no one has tried these. The closest thing I've found to a talking armor is the Patriot mod, but that makes power armor into a companion. And its not that great. I want armor that with talk, heal, and gives tips to you as you play. This is one thing that I've wanted since the very annouce of Fallout 4, and its been a few years. I really want these to be on the Commonwealth. I'll be attempting it, but I dont want to be the only one who tries (especially if someone who's really good at making meshes, textures, etc.). Honestly the biggest problem I can think of this is getting them to actually talk. Anyways, thanks for reading my suggestion.
fftfan
The hardest part about this I would say is that Voice Actors are going to be necessary, besides that texture creation. Implementing the voices into the game through the CK probably isn't too difficult much harder would be finding voice actors to record the dialog. I think to have a better chance to catch their interest you will want to create some story driven quests. I believe it would not be legal to use the voices directly Fallout 3 as that would be porting data so it will be necessary to write & record your own original dialog. 3D Modelling isn't too bad it mostly is a time consuming process to learn it well. I'm struggling with it mostly due to lack of free time and unpredictability of said free time preventing me from sinking in substantial time into learning 3DS Max. Makes it hard when I get busy for a week straight or more, busy enough to forget about the game then have to go back later and try to remember things. I highly recommend Arrimus 3D for 3D modeling tutorials he literally starts from pretty much "my first time opening the program" and goes to up to advanced stuff literally hundreds of videos. It was great for me to get past the switch from Blender which I used years ago to 3DS Max which is what I want to use now. I think with good 3DS Max skills it'll be possible to make some good UV maps that can be put into Photoshop or Substance Painter which will help with that. I find the best is to set aside at least one good uninterrupted hour to go through his videos like 1-3 of them depending on the info density then go try to actually apply it in the program.
