SavosKrosis626
I want to make a mod. I have thought about it but I want to know if it's even possible first. I'll detail it below. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I want to create a mod for witcher 3 that allows you to recruit people to the School of the Wolf. Can be anyone, even random peasants minus current people taken by quests. But I'm gonna make it to where they have levels. If you train them up to lvl 70, before you have them go through the trial of the glasses, you'll get their full potential because I'll have them reset level but keeping all the upgraded stats. In turn, they'll become twice as strong as mutants than they were human. Also, I'll make the trial of the grasses have an option setting that lets you toggle between fixed 100% chance of success or level dependent success And as you gain more manpower at Kaer Morhen, you get to choose optional upgrades for the castle. Such as eventually completely restoring the castle. The one hole in the wall has its own upgrade and shouldn't be taken until after you fight the Wild hunt off. You'd be able to send the recruits off on jobs, such as gathering plants and herbs, gathering alchemical and crafting supplies from monsters, Send them off on minor leveled contracts to gain money, or the fastest option send them out to collect whatever they can. You will have a roster board where you can manage recruits and send them on afore mentioned jobs, as well as set some to Guard duty and patrols. I could try do this as separate parts then eventually merge them. I'm not sure how i will handle the gear situation but I figure it can act as a shop without currency exchange. Give them gear you want them to use, if upgrading their gear, you can take old gear back.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This isn't everything i want to do but it is the majority. I realize this is a big project and I will likely end up paying a lot of people and spending a few years developing this but i feel like this is something it they could have done. If anything as an endgame dlc. I know it goes against lore but I believe it would make the game that much more interesting.

SavosKrosis626
I'd say I'm naively ambitious ð I asked if it's possible because i do not know if it can be done with the Creation kit. I may have to make it from scratch while examining the game's Source code.
Deleted2770933User
The Creation Kit is a Bethesda modding tool so no, you won't get anything done with that. The Witcher 3 modding tools are VERY limited. It has taken experienced modders a very long time to find ways to go beyond the basic texture modding and script changes. And even now, what can be done is very very limited. What you are trying to achieve would be a colossal task, if at all possible. I've seen so many fresh young enthusiasts like you showing up here with grand plans of elaborate mods. They all fade away sooner or later. SavosKrosis626
So, if i wanted to do this, I'd have to learn Witcher script from the game files. And in a way make it like an unofficial DLC.
SavosKrosis626
Please close or delete this topic, forum moderators. I've found something else that i can do today, rather than a year from now.
