Linky1
Hello all,This is a mod I really wanted for Oblivion, but unfortunally noone wanted to help make it, but anyway on with the mod. (people who have read the Mistborn trilogy will know much about this before I even say it) It is a REALLY big post but please any modders take a look for me :)) Ok, so in the Mistborn series people titled 'Mistborn' can burn metals internally (after being digested, normally flakes of the metal in alchol) to grant the mistborn powers. The powers include: Steel: Allows you to "Push" on nearby metals. This can allow them to make metallic objects that weigh less than they do to fly through the air away from them (using coins, for instance, as weapons). For metallic objects which weigh more than they do, this can cause them to be pushed away from the object. Iron: Allows you to ''Pull'' on nearby metals. This can allow them to make metallic objects that weigh less than they do to fly through the air toward them. For metallic objects which weigh more than they do, this can cause them to be pulled toward the object. Tin: Allows you to enhance all five of their senses. Tin users often used as lookouts and scouts because they can see in near-darkness. A major flaw of burning is that if a sudden loud noise or bright light appears it can render you stunned for a short time. Pewter: Ability to burn Pewter, allows you to greatly enhance your physical capabilities. While burning pewter, a Mistborn can fight or perform physical labor longer than any normal person, and is also many times stronger than his or her normal self. This enhanced strength also allows a TMistborn to shrug off wounds that would kill or incapacitate a normal person. Pewter-burning also provides a Mistborn with an increased sense of balance and vastly increased speed and dexterity. A Mistborn performing a "pewter drag" can run for many hours at speeds up to approximately that of a galloping horse. This is extremely draining on the Mistborn's body and will require the Mistborn to burn pewter after completing the pewter drag itself, just to keep the person's body from collapsing in near-death exhaustion. One danger for a Pewter-burner is when the Mistborn carrying something that he or she normally could not carry and he or she runs out of pewter to burn, the object he or she is carrying will crush him or her, causing serious injury. Another danger is that a Thug who shrugged off earlier wounds could succumb to said wounds when he or she runs out of pewter to burn. Bronze Mistborn have the ability to burn Bronze, which allows them to determine if someone is using metals in the immediate area. With practice, an Mistborn can determine the location of the other Mistborn, which metal the other Mistborn is burning, and to what extent the other Mistborn is burning his or her metal. Copper This allows Mistborn to hide themselves and others from Bronze-Burners by dampening allomantic vibrations caused by burning metals. The area hidden by a smoker is known as a coppercloud . In strike teams, Copper-Burners are extremely helpful to keep from being caught by a Mistborn burning Bronze. ZincZinc allows Mistborn to inflame the emotions of those nearby. This can be used to incite riots or to enhance any emotion of the target. A Mistborn can affect a single person or all the individuals in a particular area. BrassMistborn have the ability to burn Brass, which allows them to soothe or guide emotions in a particular direction. A Mistborn can affect a single person or all the individuals in a particular area. Gold:Allows an Mistborn to see what they might have been if they had made different choices in the past. It is rarely used due to possible severe emotional trauma. Aluminium:Drains all other metal reserves in a Mistborn, leaving them powerless.Used for sabotage or making Mistborn prisoners useless. Duralumin:An alloy of Aluminum and Copper, reacts with other metals currently burning to create an exceptionally large flare of the metal, consuming the remaining supply. This gives them a Massive boost in this metal, worth what the Mistborn lost, they lose everything they are burning inside them, releasing it in a massive blast. Like a massive push on something that would go 10 feet, could go 50 feet if 5 times is consumed. Atium:Atium is the most valuable metal in the world. This metal allows the Mistborn to see a few seconds into the future, thereby allowing them to anticipate the moves of an opponent. It also enhances the mind to cope with and understand these new insights, effectively turning a Mistborn invincible for a short time. Atium burns very quickly. Initially, the only known counter to Atium was Atium itself, showing what the attacker will do. However, this in turn changes what defender will do, which changes what the attacker will do, creating a confusing "vortex" of Atium shadows. Cadmium:This allows the Mistborn to make a bubble around themselfs, slowing down time in the bubble, making everything outside a blur. Once the bubble is in place, it can not be moved, unless the mistborn stops burning the metal and then re-makes the bubble burning again.Anything that exits the bubble, like a bullet (or in skyrim, an arrow) would go weirdly off target, flying in a random direction when returing to real time. Electrum: Allows the user to see a future image of themselfs, a known counter for atium. Chromium:If the user touches a target and then burns this metal, the person being touched will lose all there metals inside of them. Nicrosil:Like duralumin, uses all burning metals in one blast, losing burnt metals. This does it to a target being touched instead. Bendalloy:Like cadmium, making a bubble but instead speeds up time in the bubble, making anything outside the bubble seem slow. anything outside the bubble looking in will see a blur if any big movement is made. I really thank you for reading this, so what the mod should inlcude: Enables the player to digest the metals and burn them to use the abilities.NPC's can use them.Mistlings are also in Skyrim (Like mistborn, but can only burn 1 metal, like a Iron mistling cannot burn steel or any other metal.)A way to 'Extinquish' the metals, stopping the ability and stops burning the metal.Metals being burnt get smaller in the body untill it disapears. This would be my favourite mod of all time, PM me or post if interested :) (I can help with the mod, I just cant script that well) Also I am willing to put a team together, as this is a massive task for one or 2 people. Cipherthe3vil
Steel/Iron: Specific Telekinesis effects that work only on Iron,Steel,Imperial, ect metal items. Pewter: Easy, just a boost effect. Bronze: May be difficult, maybe not- See target's staticics (Disposition, Aggression, ect). Zinc: Frenzy, ect Copper: I don't know. Disable comments about your magical skills xd? Brass: Calm, ect. Charm (Should be made). Gold: No use ingame. Aluminium: Drain all your Magicka, disable magicka regeneration. Duralumin: Exponentially increase magic stats. Electrum: No use in-game?* Chromium: Drain all Magicka, disable magicka regeneration, this time on someone else. Nicrosil: Same as Dura. Just targeted. Bendalloy/Cadmium: there are mods for time effects.. Electrum/Atium: perhaps someone could code "Dolls" of all actors that have no effect themselves, effectively show what they're going to do before the physical, real actor does it. They are all great ideas and I like the 'Doll' idea for atium/Electrum, but this mod wasnt based of magic, it is its own system. its more you have a food item ( Iron flakes for example) and then it gives lets you burn it (say iron was f1 or a power, as its a mind thing not a spell) and could be toggled, say the flakes last 5 mins, but when toggled off the timer is paused, and you can have multiple metals at once. So instead of draining magic, drain active metals? Anyway this should make it somewhat clearer. (Also some ideas on how metals could be obtained would be welcomed)Also iron/steel would not be telekenisis because if its heavier you fly the other way, also it can be multiple metals at once and metals can hit people, like a sword on the floor flys into your hand with iron, or flys into the enemy with steel.I do realize that this mod seems quite big but please someone wanna start making it, like a project? Need scripters mainly, maybe some animators.Great ideas though thanks :D Anyone else? Linky1 Edited April 3, 2012 by Linky1
Cipherthe3vil
I was just listing references and means as to which the metals could be created. Just like how modders are trying to make Flying using the Swimming animation.

Linky1
Ok, so is anyone willing to join the team?
pastrygeist
If this is still active, I'm willing to help out. I'm new to modding (or I'd probably try to take it on myself), but am a quick learner. If no one is working on this, I'm starting. I did find one mod by DoopSlayer , but it's incomplete and hasn't been updated for quite a while. I have a few ideas myself; if anyone is interested I can post my notes on the subject here. Summary of those notes: -General implementation of Mistborn as a custom race -Crafting recipes for vials of metals -Implementable effects of burning metals
