Request: Simple mod request.

Hi, I'm here to ask if anyone would make me a simple mod that changes the guards on the battlehorn castle official pluggin. Now i want there armor and weapons changed and maybe a few more guards.

 

Now the armor i want is pale_riders armory of the berserker armor and 1 handed axe with the shield and cape. The mod can be found here http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15637

 

Pale_Rider has said that his mod can be used for whatever aslong as he gets his name in the credits which is good news.

 

I would like it if you could rename the guards to Battlehorn Marauders and make them all the Orcish race.

Do not post a link to the constuction set or construction set wiki, because i have read it and attempted to do it myself but failed

First, you'll either A: need to use De-Isolation to allow your plugin to use resources from both DLCBattleHornCastle.esp and Pale Rider's Armory, or replicate the Berserker armor you want in DLCBattlehornCastle.esp by making new weapon-forms and finding out where in Data/Meshes the armor .nifs are. Or some mix of the two. If you do just change DLCBattlehornCastle.esp directly, you wouldn't be allowed to upload it anywhere.

 

On the left window, open up actors/NPCs and find the Battlehorn guards you want to give the armor to. Open one up, and click the "inventory" tab. Select his existing armor /weapon in the inventory tab and press "Delete", then leaving the NPC's edit-window open, go under items/armor and find the Berseker armor. Click and drag the berserker armor to the NPC's inventory list, along with the axe (under items/weapons). Repeat for every guard you want to have the armor.

Lol that seems really complicated, Also i tried just adding vanilla oblivion items to the castle and that didnt work so i doubt i can do all that. However i might attempt it and break my oblivion for the 15th or so time lol.

Sorry, I said that kind of disorientingly... Would do it myself, but I had to re-install all my mods due to bugs getting out of hand, and something happened to my backup of Battlehorn Castle back when it was free. Here's a more resonable, step-by-step version...

 

1: Download Tes4Gecko (if applicable). Open it up, and click "Convert to Master", then select DLCBattlehornCastle.esp. Repeat for pale_rider's Armory of the Berserker.esp.

 

2: Open up the CS. Select Oblivion.esm, DLCBattlehornCastle.esm, and pale_rider's Armory of the Berserker.esm.

 

3: Look at the window on the left. Select NPCs, which will be a branch off of actors. If you know what race the Battlehorn Guards are, open up NPCs' brances, and pick the race.

 

4: Find a Battlehorn Guard NPC in the list, and open it up. Select the "Inventory" tab, and remove (right-click/delete) all their armor/weapons.

 

5: Look at the window on the left. Select items/armor/pale_rider_berserker. Click and drag the pieces of armor you want the guard to use into the guard's inventory.

 

6: Look at the window on the left. Select items/weapon/weapons/pale_rider_berserker. Drag one of the axes to the NPC's inventory list, just like with the armor.

 

7: Repeat steps 4-6 until all Battlehorn guards have the armor. Save and quit.

 

8: Open up TES4Gecko again. Select "Covert to Plugin", then select DLCBattlehornCastle.esm. Repeat for pale_rider's Armory of the Berserker.esm. Make sure your new mod is loaded AFTER Battlehorn Castle and Pale Rider's Armory, but it should do that automatically.

Okay i just tried that i have an battlehorn ESM and ESP file now and also an berserkers ESM and ESP file, which one do i activate? the ESM or ESP, i tried it with the ESP but it just crashes.

Okay my people now have armor but when i go inside the castle i just fall into nothingness lol. i done what you said step by step. im going to try and use both the ESM and ESPs
