MasserLight Posted April 2, 2012 Share Posted April 2, 2012 Hi folks, currently I'm working on a hunter/gatherer come minecraft styled mod for Skyrim, basically you're stuck on a freezing island in the sea of ghosts with nothing at all except the wilderness around you, the idea is that you need to keep warm, fed, hydrated and safe whilst you construct a ship to leave the island. More can be read about it here, I currently need any scripters or people who know their way around the creation kit to help out if they are keenhttp://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/634929-iceolation/page__gopid__5012509#entry5012509 The mod will need to add extensive crafting lists with many new items (although no new models). I am wanting to add a workbench type craft station which requires a certain tool (Non consumable) and ingredients (consumable) to make certain items. Another thing I want to do is the ability to place structures in game. For example, I build a forge at a carpentry workbench, and I want to be able to 'place' it when I drop it, making it useable. A final thing I'm speculating on right now is adding or modifying skills. Is it possible to add skills such as cooking, mining, farming, building which contribute to your level? I'm not too fussed on perks right now but I may add some. Also I am planning on changing the mining mechanic in this game, I am wanting to make it so that rather than pressing E to mine it, you actually have to swing your pick at ore veins and stone deposits. If you know generally how to do one of these things or point me at a tutorial that I have missed (I looked first), or better yet, want to help with the mod, i would be delighted! Cheers!
