Aoikani
If you are one of those people that use X-Fire, then you might know that using the vid captures or screenshot captures while in the game Oblivion that small info boxes pop up while in the game to tell you details on your videos or pics taken. When this happens it cause Oblivion to crash. Is there a way to turn off those information tabs? It's kind of annoying, especially when you are in the middle of some good shots. Vagrant, Woogie.. I know one of you use X-Fire, but I forget which of you do. :) Aoikani
WoogieMonster
Unfortunately, if you're referring to the little box at the top that measures how many megs the video is and shows that you are recording, I do not believe that can be deactivated, or at least I can't seem to locate an option to do so. I'll look into this further and let you know. Anytime there's anything you think I may be able to help with, you are more than welcome to add me to your friends list and ask me there. It would be much faster than waiting for me to check the forums.

I want to add that after I've taken a few shots and when that window opens Oblivion will crash. But if you leave it open and then restart Oblivion, I think it works that way without getting any more opened tabs. I have to test it to see if it works. WoogieMonster
I posted in the tech support, then I remembered one of the xfire guys is on my friends list (stop laughing, I forget things when I'm sleepy). Anyway, he says that the recording HUD can be moved by dragging it with your mouse, but it can not be disabled completely. But now I think we may be referring to different things. What is in this window you are seeing? When you record video or take screenshots, other than the recording HUD nothing should be appearing until after you shutdown the game. Are you opening the chat window?

Are you opening the chat window? It's the data for the movie or pics when taken, it appears in a window when you finish executing the vids/pics. We all know what happens when another window pops on the desktop while in Oblivion, it crashes. So I checked the tech forums once, but never found anything to address it. I think I will go back and see if I can find something. Seems as though the workaround isn't working :) Which is wierd, before last update I was able to take long, long videos and then edit them. Or a bunch of short videos and stay in Obivion while doing it. o.O Aoikani I'm on a trek now to make some more, this will really hinder me on the process.
