RustyBlade
Kudos to you MartG66, this cut my crashes by about 90%. I played for about 8 hours yesterday and only crashed once. Before patching I was crashing almost hourly, sometimes more.

pygothian
I installed it again also. Haven't really noticed anything, however it does seem maybe a little more stable. If the files were already 4gb enabled would they not patch ? Coz I tried a few other files, and it seems to patch everything. Cheers

Cheers You might be right, I should really have checked the executable with CFF Explorer to see if the flag was set, but I didn't back it up before running the patch. so maybe it didn't do anything.I'm certainly still getting a lot of crashes (all in the same area though so I think it's one of the mods)
pygothian
I backed up tesv.exe, skyrimlauncher.exe and skse_loader before trying. What is this CFF explorer? I can try it to test on the originals. Cheers

Cheers It's a program that shows information about the file You can get it free hereMy link to check if the >2Gb flag is set you have to open the executable and select file header in the left hand pane, then click on the click here button on the right hand pane (bottom right) Thanks pygothian, I'm really curious whether that program did anything at all because at first it seemed more stable but now I'm getting lots of crashing again. pygothian
Just downloaded CFF explorer. Checked the 3 backed up files, and the newly patched files with the 4gb patch. TESV.exe is ticked to enable >2gb for both files. Skyrimlauncher and skse_loader are neither ticked for >2gb. So it appears the new version of TESV.exe still is capable of >2gb

MartG66
Sorry to bump this old thread but I recently figured out that I was partly right. but it isn't TESV.exe that needs the large adress flag fixing, it's SKSE_Loader.exeand it does make a difference. Anyone using the Skyrim Script Extender, whenever you download a new version make sure to apply the App can handle >2Gb flag and save.
kevkiev
...... apply the App can handle >2Gb flag and save. where is this flag? I right click on properties and don't see anything like that under any of the tabs. Thanks.
