Hi,

How can I disable or reduce the flickerig which can be observed in the following video (You have to view them in full resolution to see the flickering):

I have installed the following "plugins":

  • Skyrim.esm
  • Update.esm
  • HighResTexturePack01.esp
  • HighResTexturePack02.esp
  • StaticMeshImprovementMode.esp

and the following "mods":

  • Lush Grass - Lush Grass 1-4-1
  • Lush Trees - Lush Trees 1-3
  • Skyrim Flora Overhaul - Vurts Skyrim Flora Overhaul v109a Hi-Res version
  • Skyrim HD - 2k Texture - Skyrim HD v1_5 FULL - Dungeons
  • Skyrim HD - 2k Texture - Skyrim HD v1_5 FULL - Landscape
  • Skyrim HD - 2k Texture - Skyrim HD v1_5 FULL - Misc
  • Skyrim HD - 2k Texture - Skyrim HD v1_5 FULL - Towns
  • SkyUI
  • Static Mesh Improvement Mod

Additionally I use the skyrim script extender for SkyUI.

My skyrim config filese are pasted here:

I have a geforce gtx 560 ti and drivers version 296.10

Any Idea how can I improve the quality?

I only bought this setup for skyrim and it would be a pitty if i couldn't get rid of the flickering... :wallbash:

Thanks a lot!

Sorry to say, there's nothing you can do about that. It's the textures, if you don't like it, use a re-texture or try fiddling with settings that lowers the reflections on objects.

any good suggestions then about retextures for this case? some special modes ? tweaks in ini that i should try?

Only using a "not so high-rez" texture mod would come to mind, sorry.

how to do this ? "" diffuse the normalmaps so they are "smoother". ""

You'd have to go through all of the texture files (the ones ending with _n), open them in photoshop/gimp and apply a blur filter on them
