Linky1
Hello all,I was creating a personal mod which enables the player to go to anywhere from Oblivion and talk to the NPC's, do the quests etc . Basically Skyrim and Oblivion in one game.I put all the Oblivion data files in the Skyrim data, put everything else where it should be. Changed Skyrimeditor.ini to add : bAllowMultipleMasterLoads=1 which enables me to load more than one esm at a time in the CKBut in the CK its still just Skyrim stuff and in game it doesnt recognise any Oblivion stuff, as if I didnt do anything (it sometimes says errors will occor due to some files being duped)Can someone help me with this or point out how to do it? Thanks Linky1 :)
Linky1
Also, is it even possibly with the new engine?
shotgun188
I know your problem but I'm not going to help you because this is illegal. Remember Morroblivion?
Linky1
I know your problem but I'm not going to help you because this is illegal. Remember Morroblivion? I thought thats because it was public mod?If its still not right to do it personally (my own mod not public) while I have bought both games, I will stop immediatly. is this the case? Well, the problem is that all Oblivion's files are in the Oblivion folder. The CK only looks in the Skyrim folder. You'll run into tons of problems with broken quests and AI(due to both games having different settings for these)and many other features though. Well, the problem is that all Oblivion's files are in the Oblivion folder. The CK only looks in the Skyrim folder. I have moved all the files to the Skyrim folder, and I can load Oblivion.ESM in the CK and in game, but it doesnt load anything. No cells, weapons, actors etc from Oblivion in the list. I moved everything, textures etc and it doesnt pick it up. In game coc testinghall doesnt take me to the oblivion testinghall, it doesnt know what the code is. Is there a way to fix this? tunaisafish
Wow, and yeah that would be a great mod.A similar mod was made for New Vegas and FO3. It was tricky to say the least. It's on the Nexus and legal as users require the original files to play it. The mod does not redistribute Beth files. The differences between Skyrim and Oblivion are even greater than those 2 fallout games. For a start all quests in Oblivion would need a rewrite as the scripting language and quest formats have changed. The model format is different too; porting armour made for Ob is not a simple case of using the same NIF file in Skyrim. So it's a huge amount of work, and won't be distributable. shotgun188
Yeah, it's strange how the F3 to FNV was allowed when MW to OB wasn't.

Haha ye I suppose it wont be as easy as Morroblivion, which was just moving the files through and making a link between them. Anyway does anyone know how to get the game and CK to recognise the files? Also OB and MO wasnt allowed because it game you morrowind files with it, giving you morrowind for free. shotgun188
Nope, Morroblivion REQUIRED Morrowind to play. And the difference between Morrowind and Oblivion was probably just as big.
