Linky1
Nope, Morroblivion REQUIRED Morrowind to play. And the difference between Morrowind and Oblivion was probably just as big. Oh, I dont know why then :/ Thanks for trying though guys, ill contact the Morroblivion people on this. Thanks again :)(If anyone thinks they have a solution, please say so :) )
shotgun188
Morroblivion is illegal because Morrowind used a few files which Bethesda borrowed to use with Morrowind. The deal was that they were only allowed to use it with Morrowind. Since Morroblivion ports these files into Oblivion, it could get Bethesda sued. To show that they didn't support Morroblivion, they banned it's discussion from the Bethesda forums and asked Tes nexus to take the Morroblivion file down. Just read about this now, but does this mean its ok to do Oblivion-Skyrim, or the other way around?

micalov
You can not just put the Oblivion files into Skyrim folder and try to load them. Fallout 3 and NV and near identical, the NV ESM is actually a heavily modified fallout 3 esm. Pretty much everything is identical form the nifs, the scripts, the cells etc. Skyrim and Oblivion on the other hand, are two pretty much completely different engines, different scripting language, different shader properties, different physics system the list is near endless. So while it might be possible, you would have recreate nearly everything manually.
