Wolf7104
My load order:https://modwat.ch/u/StrangeText/plugins The Bethesda logo shows up, then the Skyrim dragon logo for a split second and then it crashes. Any leads?
WastelandAssassin
dear me.......you have 366 plugins , but there is a limit of 255 plugins for these games.......so your crashes would be the result of too many plugins , and only once you limit your load order up to 255 plugins can you start to discuss problems....... Wolf7104
Oh crap... I am new to modding, I had no idea about that.Do you have suggestions on what mods I can merge?
WastelandAssassin
I can't quite imagine going over this huge list , and imagining which mods could be merged......especially if you are new to gaming , I'm not sure you should try your first hand at modding be merging lots of mods together my recommendations is to go over the list of mods you want to use , and divide them by preference (from most essential to least)start by installing the most essential mods , and test to see they work (at least a basic test)afterwards , install mods by priority , but not more than the plugin limit . you should not go near the limit if possible (just limit yourself to fewer mods you really want , and remove ones you could live without)this is especially so if you'll have more issues afterwards , for more mods means more chance of errors , and these will be harder to solve once you feel comfortable with modding , you should be able to go near the plugin limit without many issues (or none at all , if you learn well)but I would try to keep under 150 plugins , even under 100 if possible , especially for your first try at moddingmerging mods should be kept in mind for the future , but I would hardly recommend it for a beginner
DarkRudra
^That's good advice. That said, if you wanted to merge plugins from that list... start with the various patches and merge them by a common denominator. For example, you've got at least 11 patches related to CACO. You could merge those and cut that down to the 1 merged plugin. You've got RND patches, Wyrmstooth patches, NARC patches, Climates of Tamriel patches, and others beside that. Way too many patches, most of with are probably quite small and could be merged easily.
