  1. 1. Do you read the Books in skyrim

    • Yes, every book I find.
    • Yes, but only the ones that look interesting.
    • Kinda, I open the book so it counts as reading for that achievement.
    • No, I am not interested in learning the history of Elder Scrolls.
    • No, I play games to have fun not to read.
    • No, me smash and burn petty book!!!

I have always wondered the question above and am curious to know who does, why you do and what is the best book you ever read in the game?

I intend to read every one I find, but it's taking me some time to catch up, since I find books faster than I can set aside time to read them. There are also a number of very rare volumes that I haven't gotten my hands on yet, though I visit the Arcaneum from time to time to see if the librarian has a new one for sale. Oh, what I wouldn't give for the key to the book cases there! :)

The only books I fully read had "Lusty" in the title. Highly amusing but disappointing. Its already rated M, I would expect a fair bit more content in the department.

I do skim more then a few books though that look somewhat interesting.

Edit:

I remember there being a mod to make the "Argonian Maid" books more interesting. Then it was gone when I went looking for it, anyone know anything about it?

I read every book and actually have a list from the wiki that I have been checking off as I read books. I am keeping every book that offers a perk upgrade and every book that is new for Skyrim as a lot of books in Skyrim were also in Oblivion (awfully popular to still be around after 200 years).

It was actually a pleasant surprise to find books like "The Oblivion Crisis" and others that make reference to the Oblivion and Morrowind games.

As for the Lusty Argonian Maid, there was a "XXX" rated version mod that had pictures and a much expanded story made for Oblivion (I still have it in my backup files), but I have not seen a similar adult version for Skyrim. Skyrim does have a v1 and v2 of the book while Oblivion only had one version.
