Resetting my mod options with new DLC?

I used to have only nuka world for a long time but I did recently get the season pass which now unlocks all the DLC for me, but a problem i have (hasent affected me badly yet but better safe than sorry) is that I've had mods set up before I had any dlc, therefore some mods had install options where i had to tick what DLCs i had to avoid conflicts and such, is there a way I can reset this for all my mods so I can update my options in the mods without completely losing everything from my mods via un-installing and reinstalling considering I have thousands of mods?

Sorry if I don't make much sense, my English is not good :D

In general , I'm not so sure

the thing is , most of the mods in question have several different plugins , and you choose the one you can (no DLC , a single piece of DLC , all DLC etc)

the problem with this is that your load order will change as you try to load different plugins (the ones for all DLCs rather than one)

and if you try to load different plugins , it could break some things (like quests or scripts attached to these plugins)

so the safest way is to reinstall these mods and start a new save

on another note , you mention having thousands of mods , which sounds like a problem

you do know that the game has a 255 plugin cap? there is a limit to how many mods you can have installed......

I do not literally have thousands of mods,i just have quite alot to the point where it would be a hassle to go and reinstall every single mod, especially considering my premium expired so im at the 1024 KB cap

as for quest mods i only really have one which is fusion city, rest of my mods are user interface/power armor / ammo / etc, so there is no way for me to re-check these options and click on new options to tell it i have more dlc now? if so that is a shame and it might stop me from playing it well,as for starting a new save i do not really want to do that as my character is over level 100 which took quite awhile

I'm not sure I understood , so I'll try to clarify

some mods come in a package with a script , so that when you install the mod (via whatever mod manager you use) , it allows you to select some options which dictate which files are installed

so for such mods , all you have to do is reinstall the mod from the same file , and choose the options that now suite you

other mods come with different files you need to download from the Nexus (mods that have optional downloads and such)

for these mods , all you really have to do is download the specific optional files you need to add

as for what I said about quests , I do not mean quest mods

quests are essentially scripts in this game . you can view some quests (main quests , side quests etc)

other quests are hidden , but they can have a huge effect on the game

so these do not come specifically from quest mods , these could be a part of any mod really

and since these are attached to a specific plugin , removing this plugin could break these scripts , which could break your entire save

if the only thing you care about is your level\gear , you could easily achieve this via console commands (you can create a new character and give yourself as many levels as you need , and whatever gear you had)

if your progress also includes quests and such , starting a new character will result in you having to repeat this content

it's really up to you , and you can try to just reinstall the mods without starting a new save . I would highly suggest not doing so , but you can take the risk if you so choose

Sorry for the late reply, bug going around here in UK

What you said at the top of this is exactly what i wanted to do actually! Just need to find a way where i can go back into the options you get when you first install the mod via NMM, i just have no clue as to how.

If I recall correctly, once you identify the mods in question you have to choose the uninstall option in NMM (when you right click on the mod) then install again. I.E. don't just deactivate then install, or choose "reinstall". Then the mod will again run its script to lead you through the selection(s) where you choose various options for your installation. Be sure to remember where they were in your load order though, as doing all that puts the esp right at the bottom.
